Um if it meant sex then there's a lot of people getting the wrong message from me. I use it for jokes or when I say something I don't intend to be serious.
What you describe sounds more like what people thought the old Facebook Poke was about... Someone poked you meant they wanted to screw you. Again, if that was the case, then there must have been a few girls I knew wanting to get it on.
I never take stock in these sorts of things. I take emojis and such as they were originally intended. If someone wants to have sex, just say so and stop with the petty childish games and hints.
In my opinion, it's similar to like how cats meow mostly at people, but not with other cats. Men mostly use emojis with women because we like using them, but most men don't use emojis with each other but instead share memes.
With that in mind, keep it simple, if a guy is using emojis with you then there's a high chance he's interested or at the very least care enough about you to sift through tiny images.
It depends on the context. I could text him something like "Be right back! ;) " in a totally neutral way, or "Would you like to hang out, just you and me? ;) " in a totally flirty way. Don't over-interpret these things, though. It's more about what the text says than which emojis he sent - granted it's not an eggplant & peach... that would be rather obvious... :D
It is the same way for females. We can never tell what the little faces mean. So we choose to focus more on the words and assume the faces are just there as an accent. He could have just been alluding to a joke he made, that wouldn't be immediately obvious, or he could have been flirting. It could be any number of things.
I seriously doubt it means anything in this context. Used in an ambiguous sentence, yeah, but here it just seems friendly/flirty. Guys can be friendly/flirty without any real meaning. I know this because that's how I am.
If it's in the early teens (middle school/high school), I'd say it's more-so flirtsy. Otherwise, it's just a playful emote. Emotes in general are a playful form of expression.
It depends. It can be playful or flirty, but you have to know a person well enough to know what they intend it to mean. I use ;P around friends but I find ;) to be more flirty.
It's really about context, was he talking about doing something cheeky/illegal/anything else he might just have a giggle over? If so he's probably not flirting, if he was talking about you coming to his house, or on something that might be a date, or how good looking either or both of you are? Probably flirting
That he did not forgot you because you are hot? Yep probably that. And he probably didn't "friendzoned" you. Most of people here think they are friendzoned ha
