How do girls feel about a guy initiating a conversation or an attempt to get a number with a pick up line?

Don't do pick up lines, the only "pick up" line that I'll use sometimes is "hey you look familiar do I know you from somewhere?". That line is pretty cringe too but fuck it, it breaks the ice. The best pick up line is no pock up line. You basically just start talking based of something that's going on in your surroundings or something about her you find interesting. If you know how to start convos with random strangers you use the same tactics on a pretty girl you're interested in then guage her interest level and take it from there.

Pick up lines are stupid in my opinion and I don't use them. I just try to be my unabashed self and hopefully girls like that but if they don't, that's their problem. Although I'll listen to constructive criticism about me if they have it.

Not a fan of pick up lines and think they are generic and cheesy. I like having a good conversation with someone or them politely introducing themselves in the beginning pick up lines seem like a thing players or creeps do. Once you've established the basics and know each other on a better level they can be funny or cute but not for first impressions.

no matter how good or lame the pick up line is or how good looking you may be or not, if I don't know you don't expect to get my number because I would never give out my number to someone I don't know and trust but that's just me. see what others think.
