Sure, just about anything works if it grabs attention, and is fun. Even then you have to play a large numbers game, remembering for everyone you strike out with there, you only get one pitch. So make your delivery good, we're going for impact here, eye contact, enraptured interest, until you finish, laugh and ask what her favorite color is or whatever. Any approach works if you have fun with it and someone is receptive to you.
The problem isn't so much what you say when picking up on someone, but how much confidence you have. It's a pretty quick assessment to see if you're attracted to someone or not. It's there or it isn't. You only need a few easy minutes to figure out if you actually are interested in each other. What you say to break the ice, and then the tension are really kind of irrelevant to fill that time until you're rejected, or talking more freely and maybe getting closer.
I've started something new and just say they look cute, then I ask if they're seeing anyone. Tried it with a girl at sonic and while she had a boyfriend and apparantly also 3 kids I felt it went over well. I'm shy and overthink approaching a girl, so most times I don't do anything and let the opportunity slip by, so I need to have a couple simple go to lines that I can confidently say otherwise I won't say anything. lol Plus when you consider the places I approach a girls I think you really just have to keep it simple and to the point. While I technically got rejected I felt she was actually honest and I felt good for the rest of the day and proud of myself for making a move for once. It's time to get off the dating sites and find them in real life.
I don't think they work that well, cause it might surprise the girl or make the girl wonder whether you are being sincere or just saying a scripted phrase you don't actually mean. Genuine and personal and honest spontaneous expression is more effective and show a sense of self-sacrifice when you hit on her cause woman are not comfortable with overly aggressive and domineering romantic advances.
Sure, if they didn't then why are people still using them? The problem is who is delivering it. If they come off as a creep then it won't work. If their comedic timing is off, it won't work. Not everyone can do it and not everyone should try but they do still work.

For the most part I'd say no most likely not.
Use this one, draw a line on a piece of paper, just drop it and ask her to pick it up, then you tell her "thank you for picking up my line, wanna go out" then wink at her.
This rymes use "thank you for picking up my line, wanna go out sometime" wink
Well, they work in as much as they give you an excuse to talk to someone with a corny opening line that they may or may not be entertained by, but they're certainly not a magic pick up solution. That is still going to be up to you.
If they are done in a way where the person is mocking themselves then speaks like a normal peson afterwards they are effective.
But if they continue to be smarmy and lecherous then no.
I will be very happy if my boyfriend does it in a funny way but if some random dude does it outta nowhere, then it'll be very weird.
Are you a bank loan? Because I think I'm about to get fucked.
😂🤣🐏🤣😂😂
No, the are lame. "Hi, how are you? I'm " works better.
The only possible way a pickup line can work is if its so stupid that its funny, and she knows that was your point based on your vocal tone and facial expression/reaction to her response.
It depends on the person who is saying it & the one receiving. If it matches my humor, I'm more likely to go along with it, if not, well...
These usually do:
1. You’re so beautiful that you made me forget my pickup line.
2. Do you believe in love at first sight, or should I walk by again?
3. Sorry, but you owe me a drink. [Why?] Because when I looked at you, I dropped mine.
4. Are you religious? Cause you’re the answer to all my prayers.
5. Are you lost, ma’am? Because heaven is a long way from here.
Only the ones that are so clever they don't seem like pick up lines
no. it's your confidence and spontaneous attraction they feel for you that works. the words you say don't matter. it's "how" you say them.
Your shine made the sun look a little Dim, can I get a little tan while you're around.

Does wearing lucky underwear work? If she likes you it doesn't matter what you say. If she doesn't like you it doesn't matter what you say.
Some do yes but they need to be somewhat a part of that person's flirting style and kind of unique/personalized otherwise they're just awkward
Memorized lines work on the type that can overlook their use
If it’s not cringe then it’s success rate increases
They work if you're good looking. Else, its harassment.
If you are good looking they work.
If the goal is to make me laugh then yes.
I am pretty sure the pick up lines are an effort to get in your pants.
@michael1469 Yes I know. I was being smart-ass.
But my straight answer is no they don't for me. I find them cheesy & usually very condescending.
Only if it would work anyways
No, especially if you can't follow up.
Of couse i love you, my dick is hard...
Yes, i am happy to see you and no thats not a banana in my pocket...
