What does it mean if a guy says he appreciates you?

I feel like I had seen this in a tv show, like a guy said that and the girl was like, "What the hell is that supposed to even mean?" I mean, I'm a little confused myself. I think this guy likes me, he's been flirty and coming up and talking to me/harassing me with teasing at work. (I work at an amusement park, I do games he does security) Could that be a subconscious way of him admitting some feelings, or is he just saying he likes me being here cuz I'm just that cool?

Yes he likes you but that's not specific if he likes you as a friend or if he sees girlfriend potential in you. What context did he say this to you under? Had you done him any kind of favor or given him any kind of advice or anything like that before he said it?

As for him sitting alone, it could be that he thinks he's dropped a big enough hint that it's now on you to make the next move, or he doesn't even realize that he's said something to confuse you.

You say you weren't interested but the "*is crying*" part of your update seems to betray this? Not sure if you're already in "get over it" mode or what but if you really did have hopes there, I'd hold on a little longer.
