Good question. Girls need to be touched, just like guys do, but we also need verbal interaction. If a guy is using touching as a substitute for meaningful communication, we tend to just feel "pawed" rather than reassured by the hug.
However, if we don't get hugs every day, a good one, not just a limp hand across the shoulders, then we feel rejected. It's a delicate balance!
The short answer is, if you feel like hugging her, then DO IT! We'd always rather have a random hug than nothing!
Has someone told you that they don't like your hugs? Perhaps they're asking for reasons why you're hugging them? If so, just open up your heart and tell us! There's nothing more romantic than being told that you just love us so much, or that you need us, or whatever. As long as it's not a control thing, or smothering us, then we definitely need it!

This depends so much on who the guy and girl are and how they're related (or not) and the way the hug is conducted. (Where are the hands, are you facing each other or at the side)
For me, I hate for other guys to hug me. I hug family members and my hubby.
I've been hugged by guys in school and they seemed to be trying to get some cheap thrill. TOTAL turn off. In fact I should have just slapped him! LOL

I feel a rush go through my body. If he smells good. It makes me feel wanted, safe and the only thing on his mind.
Safe, content. If the guy is sweet and cute, you usually don't want him to let go. :)
happy, safe and secure almost like a little baby..that sounded weird but I don't know its true
