Even when I meet new people, like friends of my friends that I haven't met before, I usually give them a hug when I meet them and when I say goodbye. Even the guys. Usually, at least...unless I can tell that they are shy and uncomfortable or something. It's just how I have always been, I'm a hugger lol
But if it's someone older/business, etc, I go with the handshake.
The other night I met a guy at a beachside bar with my mom and sister and him and his friends ended up just sitting with us and talking for hours, when they went to leave, the one guy leaned in to give me a hug as he said "It was nice meeting you." I didn't mind it at all.
Basically, I like the hug as long as we hit it off/had a good connection and had a fun time meeting each other for the first time. :)
I would feel absolutely fine; it's nice to know that guys give a hug rather than a hand shake or just a wave. Whenever I get hugged by a guy, I always smile, I don't know why XD . And if you ever see her again in the future, it's nice that she has someone she can lean on :)

I went to six flags 2 days ago and hugged a lot of guys I didn't know...after the rides and stuff. I didn't feel any different.
i love hugs. as long as I met the personand he isn't a complete stranger hug away :)
depends on how the guy is. If I'm feeling that the guy is a nice person I love that good bye hug!
I wouldn't mind if the guy was attractive. As llong as he's not creepy or has other intentions..
I wouldn't think anything of it but I love hugs so it would have made my day :D
