What does it mean when a girl sends long texts?

So there's this girl I like and I don't want to text her too much. Don't want to scare her off.

I initiate most of the texts but she usually sends long detailed responses about her day and other things going on in her life. she also asks questions some times.

I just don't know if she's being nice.

Today for example, we texted pretty much all day but I started the convos for the most part and got detailed responses.

She is interested.

Not interested.

I think you need to gather more clues.

But, in my opinion, a long text is a good starting clue that she likes you. Try to talk to her in person. Notice her body language - if she leans in to you or looks extremely interested your conversation. (and as a tip on conversation, obviously don't hog it the whole time. Actually, the more you let her talk, instead of talking at her, the more she'll appreciate it.)

If that second clue checks out (which it may not, but if it does), try nudging her playfully in the shoulder with your shoulder or giving her little touches to see if she responds. Don't do something like tickle her, because she may tickle back as an automatic response, whether she likes you or not. You want to do something subtle, like spread your legs out a bit until your knee is touching hers. If she pulls away, she's probably not interested in you. But if she leans in to you in return, there's a good chance she likes you. (not a 100% chance, but a good one.)

I'm not sure what your relationship is with her at this point (friends, acquaintances), but definitely hang out with her in person for a while before you try nudging her or anything. If you skip right to touching her, she's gonna get spooked.

Well, I went out with her and one of her friends the other day. I don't do casual relationships because I like to get to know people before taking things further, which I expressed. I have only seen her a couple times in the past but wasn't really one on one. She put her arm around me from time to time. although, she talked about how she wanted to take me out to meet girls but when the end of the night came. She told me to stay at her place since I had to get up early.

There was a small box on her couch and she said it was to messy to sleep on lol. She then said " lay here, it doesn't have to be awkward or anything. We were talking as we were falling asleep and I put my arm around her. Touched her side and arm mostly. Also, we talked for about 45 min as I had my arm around her. She never moved or pulled away.

Oh wow! That def. sounds like she likes you. She may not "like like" you (yet), but she's not... uninterested, lol. Continue hanging out with her and progress up to the point where you can ask her out.

But my warning: Girls are weird, and there's a small possibility that she actually doesn't like you. It's really small, but just keep that in the back of your mind. If she doesn't like you, she's a really crappy sign giver, that's for sure.

It's hard to say, but sending detailed responses followed by questions are a good sign that she could be interested. She could just be friendly and trying to create conversation though, it's hard to say.

thats a really good thing she must like you. I wouldn't waste my whole day texting someone I didn't like.
