Strong Desire to Snuggle?

Do you ever get a strong desire to snuggle when you don't have anyone to snuggle with? Maybe I'm odd, but there are just times when all I want is to snuggle up with someone and forget about the rest of the world. This is like seriously strong. I do my best to distract myself from it, but sometimes it's really hard. I'm single and right now my situation isn't really the best for trying to date due to a string of circumstances out of my control for now. Does anyone else feel this way?

What do you do to help? I've thought about buying this huge stuff animal, yes I know that's weird for a guy my age to say, but currently I can't afford it. (One of the circumstances out of my control right now.)

Yes, I feel like that constantly the only thing that seems to help even a little is if a girl talks sweet to me (even if they are just kiding) it seriously helps a ton, I think hugs help a little too, and I'm not really into huging O.o I have a number of lady friends on the net that really like me (as good friends) so I tend to talk to them and normally if I tell em they'll say cute things to me that makes me feel a lot better, such as one of em calls me "lovie" ? I really think I have the sweetest friends in the world sometimes. And I personally have quiet a few plushies, all from when I was younger, and if you can't afford a big stuffed animal my suggestion would be (if possible) going to a carnival and play one of the game for a big one, I'm pretty good at those games I got myself a big dog for like a buck =) and to answer the question that some of you may be thinking no I'm not gay, just sensative loving/caring guy.

I dont know whyyy but this reminds me of something i poked at recently. In particular; infj. Particularly sensitive. (I would ask jow gay os furry, but the two are commonly put together so fair nuff lul).
Note, any form of a test of a personality is moreso like taking a picture of your personality, instead of properly looking at it.
(Also... i am also on the list of poor souls that want snuggles)

I have a strong desire for intimacy usually. Im talking to a few girls and hopefully I'll get to cuddle soon. I've never had this strong of an urge to cuddle, and it's been like this a month. It's weird. I just want to relax with a girl and know someone cares about me in that way. One of the girls I was talking to said she didn't want to cuddle on the first date and her and I have been talking for a while, and that hurt way more than I expected. I got pretty upset.

I have the urges to do so too esp when the rain is falling at night:). I normally would hug my pillow and wrap up in little blanky so ur not odd.

But for me tho.i would talk to some of my guy friends whether it be online, texts or calls. So see if you can get some people to chat w/. If that doesn't work there is always music (after all music cures) but not those little lovey dovey crap. Hip hop, rap, heavy metal anything to get you all worked up and energetic.

I get the urge to snuggle a lot. And when I was younger I cured it by sleeping next to a wall and more or less hugging the wall, and when my bed wasn't near a wall, I would clean out the closet and hug the walls in there.

A large stuffed animal is better, but sometimes a body pillow can help, but it's not weird to get the strong desire to suggle, cuddle, hold or just want the comfort of another body near enough for contact.

When he's not around, I have my stuffed animals. It doesn't have to be huge--I have this massive Eeyore plushie, but it practically smothers me when I hold it. I like smaller stuffed animals better.

Aww, yes I know what that's like. You're totally normal. As for what to do about it, you could always watch a movie with a girl and snuggle up with her, it's easy and relaxing. Or if you're just by yourself, body pillows work great, and they're warm too.

Yah I feel that way sometimes too. When I do, I snuggle up with my soft fluffy hug pillow, (two) when I'm really lonely, and hide underneath my mink blanket.

I usually fall asleep, or just stay there until the feeling goes away.

I don't think a stuffed animal will work.

It has to be something you feel secure with (e.g. security blanket, pillow, etc)

ur not alone brother. it's not as much the snuggling as the comfort of snuggling. preferabbly with a girl because I thinl it builds trust and with a guy is awkward. with a bean animal would still make me feel lonely though

YES! That happenes to me all the time. When it happens, I curl up into a ball on the couch and plretend like someone else is there. It helps a little but there are probably better ways than mine!
