we were just spooning watching television and I get up and noticed how his eyes are a little watery and had a tear going down his cheek! I thought that it was nothing at first but asked him "are you crying? what's wrong?" he said " I don't want to talk about it" in a very soft/sad way :( I didn't say anything after that and just gave him space and went back to hugging him. should I have made him talk about it with me? I can tell he hides his feelings but he should be able to tell me anything he wants!

You answered your question for yourself. He should be able to tell you anything he wants. He said he didn't want to talk about it. He clearly isn't comfortable talking about it with you right now and he will when he is ready. Trying to get it out of him will only show him that you don't respect him so just let him take his time dealing with whatever is going on.

maybe it could have something to do with what your watching lol. was it a good movie? there are times when I watched a movie with my girlfriend I started tearing up from the movie. ha ha even tho I have never been caught, IF I DID id say something like "i don't wanna talk about it" or "allergies", anything. Real fact is that I'm embarassed
