My boyfriend cried through facetime?

He got really emotional because he's so happy with me, thankful for being with me and loves me a lot. I don't know what to think about it. What’s your opinion on it?

In some cases it might be totally appropriate. But... if YOU aren't sure how to feel about it... then that suggests that this likely was not 'appropriate' to the situation.

Basically... if you don't know what to think about it... it was likely not appropriate. In other words... that's only ok in a situation where you're also totally "on board" with it's being ok. Does that make sense?

If it's early in the relationship and everything is still fresh and new and exciting, that's a really sweet thing and you should be flattered. Or if he's been having a tough time and you were supporting him. If you have been dating for a few years and it happened out of the blue, that would be a bit strange and I would wonder if there was something going on, like anxiety or depression.

Its very ironic that I came across this because I did the exact same thing last night, he just really loves you and cares about you, if has been in toxic relationships then he probably hasn't been genuinely happy for a while and doesn't know how to react when he is happy, let him be emotional. You both deserve a good, healthy happy relationship.

He’s secure enough to cry in front of you. He loves you a great deal. Do you love him as much as he does you? If you do be thankful to have him in your life. If not maybe breakup. He really cares for you.

I mean. I’m not judging to dude since I’m a man that isn’t afraid of shedding tears in front of people I trust..

But I don’t think I would cry over something like this.

However maybe he’s just been through some VERY shitty relationships, so in retrospect to that. Maybe that’s why he cried cause he is extremely grateful that he found you, and maybe thought he would never find a woman he can connect too so much like he does with you

-Either he is emotional which is nice because it's mean he love and trust you, still he must be tougher than this lol ( maybe because I'm a man I don't know).

- Or he has been through very very bad times and he appreciate you being in his life. And this when you need a woman, honestly no matter how tough you are life is hard and having a woman/wife is the greatest support.

Your boyfriend crying raises several red flags. The first is that he has feelings for someone else and he doesn’t want to break your heart so he gets sad. The second is that since he has feelings for another girl, he has has sex with her already and when he sees you he cries about it when he sees you on FaceTime because he doesn’t want to hurt you. The third is that he’s joined the Navy and is scheduled to ship out in less than a week and now he has to tell you goodbye and he doesn’t want to hurt you so he cries when he sees you. The fourth is that he already has a wife and kids and he misses them because they’re actually in the other room while he’s talking with you and he’s hoping you don’t find out about the kids or his wife and he’s crying because he can’t handle it. Of course I may just be imagining all this but it does make sense as to why he was crying on the FaceTime.
