Why does he pretend that he doesn't know me?

it's been 6 months since we broke up. we were in love when we were dating and when we broke up. He broke up with me now he has a new girlfriend. Today was my first day at a new school, where my ex goes. we hang out with the same people, but he would not say hi, even though I was standing right beside him. he pretended like I wasn't even there, and would walk away a couple seconds after I got to the group of people. I thought we were on good terms because we met up in december.. but I guess not? his girlfriend is never there when we are together in the group... so I don't get why he has to be rude and not even say hi.

It's not because he's trying to prove something to his girlfriend or something like that, he's trying to prove something to himself. If he hasn't moved on, he's still trying to and since he has a new girlfriend, he wants to make sure that even if he feels something for you, he won't do or try anything with you. He wants to keep a distance from his own emotions and to do that he's trying to supress any emotion for you.

My guess is either its his revenge of you breaking up with him, or it's his revenge if you did something to make him break up with you. I don't know how your guys relationship ended but in any case it's probably in any case just him ignoring you is a way of revenge.

does this behavior last long? I'm gonna see him everyday. I'm fine withhim and I thought we were good because we met up acouple months go to end on good terms? He was the one who broke up with me. It's just makeing it awkward to stand in the same group.. Then he leaves like 10 second when I get to the group . It's kind of immature. And he has another girlfriend.

Well again I don't know too much here. But have you and his girlfriend met? know each other? or have met? like each other?

If you haven't met - he will prob want you to meet not just add to your misery but to see if you could be her friend, and if you two got along great then he'd probably would end his behavior.

If you have met - then there's a chance she doesn't like you, maybe she seems fine around you, but there could be something she doesn't like about you and if she doesn't like you, ...

It could be his method of moving on or it could be that his new girlfriend doesn't feel comfortable with him talking to you or any of his ex's anymore. He could just be respecting his new girls wishes. Either way, if he isn't going to talk to you, obviously the relationship he had with you isn't as important as it was before. It would probably be best for you to just move on as well. Good luck!

I am going to school where my ex goes next fall. And trust me when I see him- I wouldn't even speak to him...Sometimes its best to let things be unsaid. They say actions speak louder than words.

Who knows what he is thinking...He could be over you, just rude, or still like you a bit...But who cares...Just keep it moving...And act like it doesn't bother you.

Well if you still want to be his friend don't ignore him. But if he's irritating you because he's for whatever reason not happy with you (I really think it's that) then ignore him. If you get a new boyfriend he may think react differently, because if you acted like a jerk and your new boyfriend saw that he'd prob beat him up.

maybe he is trying to move on by ignoring you, or maybe he doesn't want people to spread rumors if they see both of you together, which then his new girlfriend will find out and get in him in sh*t.
