I personally don't mind, my girlfriend and a couple of female friends have surprisingly low and deep voices you'd not expect from girls with their appearance.

I do. I wonder what guys think though. And our voices probably consistently sound deeper to us than they do to others, cause it's resonating inside our skull. I was with a guy sleeping, and when we woke up in the morning, hearing my voice all craggy and low, he loved it, said it was sexy. I think it wasn't just the timbre, but also because it's different from the rest of the day, and it felt special to him, intimate, that he was in a, maybe, privaleged place to hear it, finally. I think he was right. There's so much to attraction and sex, not just the outside and the obvious. It's those little things too.
That's true - we always perceive our voices differently than how others hear them.
Sometimes it can lead to some personal insecurities but what matters is getting confident about it and see the positive in that quality - like you said, that guy found your voice sex and special in that context and I think it's something to be proud of.
My girlfriend used to be embarassed about her voice back in high school, but started singing and found her voice was perfect for some genres!
That's also a great example of how we must learn to harness our insecurities and make the most of what we have an who we are. We are all lacking so many things, but if we can get into the habit and understanding of zoning in on what we are good at, it will make everyone a whole lot more content in life.
I like a true contralto like Fiona Apple or Lauryn Hill. They have the widest range and can hit some pretty high notes.
I can sing most of Lauryn Hill’s songs but Fiona Apple holds some really low notes and that takes me quite a bit of vocal work and exercise to get used to since I don’t sing on a regular basis anymore.
People think the high notes or where you strain your throat but the low notes are actually the notes are usually where less experienced singers like me get hurt.
Fiona Apple doesn't really sing... she's talking in key... but not necessarily vocalizing
@donnny2367764 interesting observation. She does vocalize with great vibrato in many songs but she definitely has a different style. I wouldn’t say she isn’t singing in “hot knife”, “make a mistake”, “werewolf” or even “Criminal”.
Her later work is more versatile, she’s good live. She can alternate from high end to low end very fluidly. “Shadowboxer”
Well it appears you are an obvious fan... may it be either for her looks.. her image... her persona.. or maybe her in general as an artist... but I must point out that although she's been around for a while I don't think she has come close to other female artist and performers if her time... Alaniz Morrissey, Sheryl crow, natalie imbroglio, nad many others that had more talent in both songwriting and artistic repertoire
@AmandaYVR thanks, yeah I went to respond to him but the superior glib tone kind of made me say... dude, next.
She can belt it out when she wants to. Her albums are a story to be listen or in order and sometimes resemble art of the spoken word.
Doesn’t sing...
They are great! Most notable of the bunch was Karen Carpenter. She not only had the range (4 octaves), but she had some power behind her voice, especially in the lower register where most women start to fade. That was set the Carpenters apart - her powerful, contralto voice. Instantly recognizable. She was also a very good drummer and their concerts typically featured her in a drum solo.
No I don't. Although the "sultry female jazz singer" voice has a certain allure to it. But what I'm trying to describe here is not a "low and deep" voice, there's a specific timbre to it that few women really can pull off naturally. I saw a youtube video where a vocal coach explained the phenomenon, wish I had a link now.

Hmm well personally I've been told i have a valley girl voice, but was also recently told that i was montone as per my bf? Not sure what that even means.
And i dont think i could handle a high pitched on a male. I think we pick up on parents trait and carry those to partners. My dad was extremly manly and has probably one of the deepest voices I've ever heard. I couldnt imagine someone really different then that when it comes to dating🤔
I dunno if I find it attractive, I guess it really depends on the person themselves.
But I do find them interesting and maybe a little mysterious.
Claudia Black isn't very attractive in my opinion, but I love her as a voice actress! (Morrigan from Dragon Age series)
One of my top female voice actresses out there!
I don't pay much attention to their voice. Once we've talked a bit, I'll know their voice and be able to identify it, but as long as it doesn't sound like a dude's voice, it won't have an impact on my attraction towards them, and I hope that they think the same way about me.
Jean Marie admit it!
This question is here for one purpose, for us men to say we love girls with deep throat 🤭
depends if it's still a clear and soft feminine kind of deep voice. Those are awesome.
Or that rattling diesel voice of some guys. Those are pathetic
Sometimes yes, sometimes no. I very very much like Norah Jones as a singer, yet I do not like Diana Krall's singing all that much. Not to say that she isn't also quite talented (I do think she is).
Yeah, kinda. It's sexy. But NOT if she got it from smoking! That sounds HORRIBLE!!! I want her to sound like a girl, not a guy!! Lucy smoked so damn much her voice was deeper than most men!!
I don't like guys with low voices. I like girls with either high or low. But with guys, just low. It's something with the sound of their voice that makes the pitch fitting.
Lower pitched female voices have always been considered sultry and ferociously attractive.
Men dig a woman with a pair of lungs.
I like deep voices both in males and females. Super high pitched voices are annoying for me, specially when they talk loudly or scream.
I've met a few and they didn't bother me. It's not manly deep, just deeper than you would expect for a woman.
I prefer girls with a soft high pitched voice.
Girls with a voice too low or deep makes me think the girl could be a guy.
My lady is one of them. Initially it quite surprised me (she's a really 'small' person), but I like it.
Couldn't really care. As long as they are a women I don't mind.
I prefer guys with a normal voice myself, but I know a lot of girls who love deep voices. High-pitched in a guy is generally a turnoff for me.
Nope. My voice is deep enough for a gaggle of girls and I.
I have been told by many people that I have a cute/soft voice. I'm not going to change it to a deep voice no matter how fashionable it's getting. I'll retain my own qualities and style.
A deep, womanly voice is quite pleasant to me personally.
It's a minor turn-off for me, but certainly not a dealbreaker.
I like girls that have a monotone calm voice. Its super rare but gosh I love it when it isn't high pitched.
I like girls with smokey voices i think them are sexy.
A girl with a natural deep voice will never have the same problem as a guy with a naturally high pitched voice.
I can remember the girl I had a huge crush on college (who FRiENDZONED me) once said my voice was unusually high for a man. That hurt. Really hurt.
How deep? Like Jennifer Lawrence deep? Emma Stone deep? Or we talking deeper than that?
I like girls with the proper plumbing. Lol. The voice doesn’t matter.
I like girls with soft, soothing voices. Not deep and not high-pitched.
Deeper than a usual woman's voice, yes. So deep that it falls into the usual vocal range of males, no.
I like altos. But no, I'm not really attracted to a woman with a guy's voice.
Research has shown women with a deeper voice are less likely to cheat in a relationship. I guess that makes them pretty likeable :)
Voice pitch doesn't make a difference in my view, unless its over the top high pitch.
For singing and certain aspects yes and it depends on the type of voice if it's manly not so much lol
I wouldn't know tbh i've never heard a woman with a deep voice tbh.
Off subject but you're hot. Are you European?
Thank you for your compliment, but I'm not really that attractive!
I'm French-Italian though.
Thank you, we try to!
Feminine deep voices are sexy
Yup! I personally loved the deep voice...
No, because im straight.
Loool that photo
French-italian? Jesus thats like German -Mexican thats a Trump supporter
I'm sorry you have a problem with mixed nationalities, have a good day.
No im mixed.
Perfect, shame you felt the need to insult me for being it as well.
On the serious side I thought Italian -French was an interesting brew
Okay, I understand so I won't delete or block you.
I'm sorry for the misunderstanding.
Yes it's nice but she might be loudly while making love 😆
I think I have a deep voice
This is like asking if girls will guys shorter than them and we all know how that went
They sound sexy. And seductive. 😜😎
sone are ok others not
I do, but not chainsmoker deep.
Deep? Dunno. But husky yes. Sexy AF!
How deep we talking. Like adams apple deep
It depends on her voice.
I like the voices of many women.
Yes actually.. Its hot
It depends how deep her voice is
Deep is better than high pitched and squeaky.
No not at all
My fiancée has a deep voice, I find it sexy
Hell no.
I have no opinion.
I do.
No that is a bit disgusting. Male-ish
I like women with high testosterone
only if they're older than me
I have a deep voice
Yes, it's sexy!
Dont mind it
