What does it mean if a guy says “i’m your dad”?

i’ve been talking to this guy for a while and he keeps saying i’m a mom because i do chores a lot but one time he said he’s a “proud dad” of me and then later he said “i’m your dad”. it was NEVER in a sexual context but I don't know. is he friend zoning me by calling himself my dad?

i’m not uncomfortable with it but is this his way of him telling me he wants me to call him daddy, or that he wants to take care of me or if he's just not interested at all

he also calls me “bby” and “baby girl” a lot

I'd ask him what he means. I mean he could be a traditional guy or he could be friend zoning. Either way if he is interested and you are uncomfortable with the dad thing tell him. My mom told me one time she didn't accept mother's day cards from my dad because she wasn't his mom. She was a pretty gentle person most of the time so I was a bit surprised but it made sense.

Update: is this coming from his cultural or familial background? I got called mamma from a man in the grocery store during a conversation. He was either from Africa or the Caribbean area. Couldn't figure out the accent. Any way I wasn't sure if it was a term of endearment because of my age or as a woman.

It could be that he likes you and finds himself giving you advice which he knows goes a bit beyond what a friend or acquaintence would do so jokes he is being like your dad to deflect a bit in case it looks obvious that he is interested.

Maybe it was jusy a joke because he thought he sounded like a dad giving advice.

Oh I took it the other way. Like a long lost dad returns.

As for as the other way. He might like the Daddy/Little Girl or Daddy Girl role play.

Just be straightforward and ask him. Men understand straight to the point questions and answers. You try hinting or being subtle about it. He won't get it.
