+1 yBahaha, I love telling this story. My plans were cancelled for tonight, so here we go...
Two years ago, I was walking down the hallway of my school, and out of the corner of my eye, I spotted a guy I've never seen before. He wasn't wearing the school uniform, and he ran down the hallway with a few other guys. I dropped my history textbook on my foot and just stared at him; I don't know why I was so attracted to him: he's cute, but he wasn't drop dead gorgeous and I had no idea what he was all about because I've never seen his face before. I asked my friend who he was, and she was baffled as to why I cared. I found out that he was friends with some of my friends, and that was all. I never saw him again.
Months later, I pretty much forgot about the mystery boy's existance. I kissed a few guys here and there, but no one ever wanted a relationship with me. The one boy who did want one, got a relationship with me, but was abusive and molested me. He threatened to commit suicide if I broke up with him, but I did later on. He slit his throat, but lived... only by the skin of his teeth. He scarred me for life. I then dated a guy who wanted a relationship, but I told him I couldn't bare being in a relationship because I'd just gotten out of an abusive one. He agreed. I never wanted to be in a relationship with him because I thought he'd still go back to his ex. After promising he wouldn't, four months later, he did. He said he wasn't taking me to prom anymore, and that he was still in love with his ex. I then kissed a boy that was his friend to get on his nerves. The friend fell for me, and I would've liked him, too, but I got to know more things about him that turned me off, so I slowly stopped calling him.
Two weeks after my ex and I broke up (who never even officially asked me to be his girlfriend, I suppose because of his ex, but I'll call him my ex anyway), I went to a concert with my best friend... the same friend who was baffled about my wanting to know the mystery boy, actually. Speaking of him, the mystery boy walked right into the room all by himself. My friend saw the look on my face after having forgotten about him since two years ago. She shoved me into him and introduced us. We became friends, and I fell for him the second I met him. I learned that he never had a real relationship, and that my ex was his best friend, as well as the other guy I'd kissed shortly afterward. Our chances of dating looked extremely slim, but one day we were hanging out, I mentioned that I was un-prom'd by my ex. He promptly asked me to his prom and figured out I was his friend's ex. He didn't care. We finally kissed, and I learned that I was his first kiss. I was so surprised, he seems very outgoing and he's cute. It turns out he has anxiety, and he faced his fear just to make me happy. Prom was fantastic. We're still dating, and even though he can be immature and does silly things, I couldn't be happier.

You cause your own problems. You liked a special guy but decided to just make out with other guys instead of going with what your gut and heart says. Then in the end you complain about how he can be immature and silly. Sounds like you are a ungrateful lost soul and tbh a straight up hoe. Get yourself sorted out and fixed before jumping into relationships.

+1 yOk, I met my man at the first ever job I worked for. His company was supplying hired vehicles to my company.
My partner was the worker, who would come into collect the keys and the vans once my company had done with them. (the vans were used for delieveries and we had them all week and were returned on Saturdays, and I only ever worked weekends)
The first time I ever saw him he was asking for a sat nav and keys, and I luckily had been playing with the sat nav earlier so new where it was, and he told me I was the only person he'd come across who seemed to know what they were doing...although at this point I had just taken it as a compliment to me knowing my job.
Anyhoo we would chat, but it was brief. I hadn't actually admitted to myself I fancied him , until my friend at work made me, I remember saying something like "I really like that guy, but not in that way" and my friend looked at me and went, yeah you do, to which I was like, yeah I do.
The dilemma I had was that I knew he was a lot older than me, I first thought 35ish, but I still thought that was to old, for him to be interested in me, plus he was probably married with kids etc etc.
Anyway, one day he didn't turn up, and it was someone else from his work, and I asked this other guy, where this guy I liked was...trying not to give too much away, although it seemed I had. This other worker went back to his company and told the guy I liked that I had been asking about him.
Later on that day, and I now think this may have been planned, but the guy I liked came in, and was asking for the keys to the van. The funny thing was, was that his mate had already come to collect, and therefore I had already given the keys. Turned out his mate hadn't left the keys behind, which gave me and this guy the chance to have a chat.
He came back in when he had finished work, and gave me his number. I was very pleased but I wasn't going to jump up and down quite yet, cause there was still the issue of the 'age' turned out he was 39, but we got to know each other, and here we are three years later living together and about to get married. And I am ever so grateful to his mate, cause he basically played match maker.40 Reply
Well.. my first boyfriend I met through my sister. As my sister was dating this guy, he said his friend had seen me and wanted to ask me out. He was just afraid to get rejected so he gave my sister my number and we started texting then we ran into each other at school the next day and that's how it happened.. It only lasted a month but I wish I had another chance with him.. We were both too young. My most recent ex I met at the bowling alley. Yeah, I know.. lol. He was my sister's ex. I've always heard about him. How weird is his, how he's a liar, how he goes from girl to girl.. I've never met him but always heard about him. One day my friend Jenny asked if I'd like to go bowling and of course I said yes cause I missed hanging out with her. So we're in the car with her aunt (who is totally awesome) and we go to pick up Jenny's friend Geromy (my sister's ex). I've heard so much about him and... there he is. He gets in the car and it's like a cheesy movie where he looks at me and I look at him and it was love at first sight. We went to Pizza Hut that night and then the bowling alley. It was the best night of my life. I thought I had just fallen in love. So did he. He asked me out after he got home and I was laying in my friend's bed. I said to wait until I got to see him again. I saw him two days later and he asked me out. I said yes. We dated for a month, then I started to see what everyone was talking about. I broke up with him. He came over the next day and I just couldn't resist... We dated for another month, and for the first half I was happier than I had ever been. Then I realized who he truly was and broke up with him again. I still love him and he still loves me but, I wasn't really as happy as I thought I was so.. I'm not getting back with him even though he still wants me. He's leaving for a year in August anyway cause he's in the National Guard and I would wait for someone I truly loved but.. I guess I never truly loved him. Now I'm just waiting for that one guy to prove to me that "love" exists. :-)

+1 yI had
-just finished a relationship (arranged to be dumped in fact (6))
-just made a good deal (financially)
-made plans for a weeks vacation to get my ex out of my head
-presented my plans to my best (girl) friend, who had said she wasn't interested
Then that nice girl I had once taken to a show came to me at the university cafeteria at lunch hour and asked me if I wanted to go on a weeks vacation to Paris with her, sharing costs. I was a bit puzzled but said yes (I had thought about taking a lot of fresh air on Texel to forget that ex)
We made an agreement: each his own room, I found a nice little hotel on the Left Bank. I got inspected by her parents (and her grandmother, LOL)
We took the train as good friends and I guided her for a week (I know Paris quite well) We exchanged our first kiss in the Louvre museum, overlooking the Seine river, we had our first row on Montmartre, I took a lot of pictures of her and we came back as nearly a couple and were a couple two days later.
(I'm sure I already posted this on GaG)
We're still happy together and have an adult son.
Sad part of it: my best (girl) friend, who had said 'no' is now still a lonely spinster. :-(51 Reply- +1 y
wow, quite the story.
I met my girlfriend at university. We had almost evrey class together cos we were taking the same bachelor's course, so we did a lot of projects together. I actually wasn't even interested in her at first except as a friend, because she was dating someone. I was still friendly with her, and I still did funny stuff, like one time I printed out an astrology compatibility chart that said we were perfect for each other, but I didn't use my real astrology sign I just picked the one that went the best with hers and printed that out, haha.
Like, a year after we graduated we found each other again on Facebook and started talking, and she had broken up with her boyfriend by then. Our first date was at Jack in the Box, of all places, and we've been dating off and on (mostly on) ever since.10 Reply

+1 yI met him on my couch actually. I was living with my ex boyfriend, we'll call him Earl. Earl and I went out in high school, drama went down, blah blah, we're now friends.
Earl was trying to get into..say...Lola's pants and Lola had a friend, who wasn't the prettiest thing ever..And by that I mean she was a total TROLL. :) Anyway, Ian (my boyfriend) was sitting on the couch cuddling with..."Ivy." And Earl was cuddling with Lola. Ian was "slaying a dragon" for his "bro" so that he could get some.. Anyway..
I just got home from work and Earl had told me that the girls were over. I was like.. okay.. this could be awkward.. Only because Lola was the ex of the guy that I'd just gone on a date with, we'll call him Gilbert... And we were talking about the possibilities of a relationship.. Meanwhile, Earl was telling Ian that he had a female roommate who wanted to "get Ian drunk and take advantage of him. Oh yeah, and she loves having a d*** in her mouth." Gee, thanks Earl..right? I had no intentions of either, I'd never met him, let alone seen him...
Then we get back to me getting home from work. I didn't know who anyone was, and I looked like CRAP... And there's Ian, Lola, Earl, and Ivy, sitting on my couch. Ivy sitting on top of Ian, Lola and Earl coddling on the other side. As it would have been super super awkward and wasn't even a couch...I just sat on the floor and watched a movie with them.. The guys went out for a smoke, and Ian apparently thought I was hot. And came back in...We "flirted" but I just passed it on as conversation..And after the movie Ian left.
Ivy got a phone call from her boyfriend..Who happens to be abusive..and just sh*tty all around.. In the back of my head I was just like, "I'd been up on that if I'd known."
A little while after that, I think it was the next day, but I can't recall...I went to visit Earl at work, and brought him lunch... Ian was also working that day...And we all ended up having lunch together. I was a little shocked when Ian had sat beside me and not Earl, and I was even more shocked when I spoke to him without hesitating or showing my nervousness through laughter.
I went back to Earl's work place (he had two jobs in the mall one with Ian, one not.) and we talked a little bit about rent and such and I kept repeating what I'd been saying for a few days... "Oh my God, SO HOT. AND HE HAS A MOTORCYCLE!" *drool.
Before I left, I'd gone to say good bye to Ian, because..well it would be rude not to, right? I walked in, he said hi to me, and I said bye... Just a couple words..no big.
Ian came over a couple of times, and he and I had made plans to hang out, without Earl. One night, Ian was sleeping over, everyone had fallen asleep but Ian, me, and Earl's baby. So Ian stayed up with me with the baby, because I LOVE THAT KID. And.. I invited him to sleep in my bed with me because I'm used to sharing beds with friends, and I didn't want him to sleep on the floor. He took up my invite, and I'd warned him14 Reply- +1 y
that I death-grip cuddle in my sleep, and he said he was okay with it. ;)
So he slept with me, I had a cuddle buddy, we were both happy. After that.. We kept hanging out.. I'd asked for his number from Earl, because I'd "forgotten to get it when I was visiting." And I told him that I liked him... and Earl was instigating everything, of course, playing match maker because he was sick of the "trash" I'd introduce him to.
That's the details... I remember Ian had kissed me before he left one - +1 y
morning, after cuddling with me of course :D, and I was so happy all day... Then December 21, he came over and was going to sleep over again... I have a high libido, it had been a while for me and he hadn't had sex in a year and we were both ready to TANGO. Before anything happened.. He looked at me and said "I want to give you your Christmas present first." I said "What is it," not exactly happy because I hate gifts. And he said, "Me. If you'll have me."
I got all bashful and hid my face and - +1 y
said yes. Obviously, :p.
Then he took out a years worth of sexual frustration on me, and I loved it. And just as we finished...Earl played "Just Had Sex" By the Lonely Island... Great timing right? By played, I mean blasted..So he knew we'd here it. Now we live together :D And as far as I know we love each other very much. :) *Hope that's enough detail for you. - +1 y

+1 yCollin and I meet when we were 5. We meet in elementry school, and he lived a street down from me. We became close friends in 4th grade, and we "dated" then ( like how 3rd- 5th graders " date" haha) We drifted apart in middle school because we didn't go to the after school prgram they had at my elementry school for K- 5th grade. I got a boyfriend and found different friends, and he found different friends as well. I broke up with the boy I had dated in April of 6th grade. He asked me out many times that April and that summer, and I keep telling him I didn't want a boyfriend.
Then he gave me my birthday present.
Collin HANDmade a group of bracelette's that had my favorite things on them. I came inside after that and my best friend of the time told me, " When are you finally going to admit you like the kid?"
It got me thinking, so I invited him to my best friend's birthday party with me. As we were walking in, I said ( shyly) " Can you ask me what you asked me this summer?" At first he didn't get it, but when he did he lit up. He asked me one last time and I said yes. That was the early September, and we have been dating for over a year and 8 months now.52 Reply- +1 y

still going strong<3
At university. It was kind of a fluke since we were in different fields (nursing and performance). I was sitting at an outside bench waiting for a fellow cast member so we could block our performance. As he was walking by there was a bee floating around (I'm petrified of bugs) so I was.. looking like a spaz which caught his attention, he did a double take so I explained, "Oh there was a bee!" And he laughed and walked off.
Next day I finished my class and went to a different seating area waiting for my friend, then out walks my boyfriend, "Bee girl". That was that.
A couple days later I was sitting in the library with one of my friends and these two guys I had just met. The boys were flirting with me (I was really popular with the boys at uni) and someone suggested chocolate. My boyfriend was sitting way over in the library but he heard it. He was selling chocolate for his classes graduation dinner so he came over, "did someone say chocolate?" One of the boys bought all of us chocolate. So my boyfriend moved to my side and he was flirting and he asked someone for a bit of paper. When someone gave him a piece of paper he ripped it in two and wrote something down (turns out to be his phone number) and then he said, "Can I have your number?" I laughed and then he said "No I'm being serious." So I gave him my number and he gave me his.
Now the reason he didn't try screw me and leave is because he found out I was smart and talented (art).04 Reply
Asker+1 yThat's sweet! You remind me of myself...but you're older :D
Asker+1 yFunny that you'd say that, I want to be older! I can't stand all of this high school nonsense, I asked this question because everyone at my school (guys rather) are focused on status, popularity, and looks, I can't wait until I get to college and actually meet guys who are interested in me for more than just looks. Why do you want to be 17 again!? Its horrible! ;(
+1 yMy boyfriend and I have known each other all of our lives, since our parents are friends. We had acted like siblings (that never fought :) up until his parents got divorced and I didn't see him for three years. It was weird. The next time I saw him, it really hit me hard. That I didn't know him anymore and D-D-D-DAMN HE WAS HOT...Teehee...
Ever since '09 I've been trying to convince myself that this was just lust and it was ridiculous to feel that way for so long. It killed me being around him, because he only seemed to get better. I saw his heart get broken a dozen times. We've gotten so close since '09 and I've been guiltily in love with him for so long.
Then during a party, he said if we weren't best friends he'd date me. And everything just kept rolling after that. When we were finally in the house alone (everyone else was outside drunk while we were sober) he set out to kiss me. I practically listed off reasons not to kiss me. It was going to be my first kiss. He said it would be alright. Then I said I had Sunkist breath...*facepalm*... He said it didn't matter.
We've been together for a while now, and I would've never thought he'd love me too. Proves that never giving up has it's advantages...30 ReplyAt a cafe. He was sitting near my table and I was writing a paper and he was writing a paper.(I know because I was inadvertently eaves dropping on his conversation and I liked him automatically- tho I did not know , nor had I ever seen him ) I looked up to stretch and he was staring at me. He said " I am not staring at you.. I was just spacing out" I said " oh no of course not XD" then as he came to he got really embarrassed and tried to convince me he had not been staring... I convinced him I believed him. Then we just talked. We studied together for three months till he kissed me on our way home at 12 30 am, near a lamp post under a tree in an alley. Then we walked back and forth from my house to the alley -kissing intermitantly- till he had to go home to sleep for work in the morning :)

hey I heard this story before somewhere! :D
I met my boyfriend at a park :) Late at night.. I was going through some difficulty in life so that night I went to the park and sat on the swings..A man approached me and sat on the swings beside mine.. We started talking and the more we talked the more we realized how similar our problems were and how GOOD it felt to not Feel Alone anymore :) I watched the moon sitting beside him, and he started singing a song about the stars to me, it was magical and cheezy and beautiful all at once. We've been together since then and we are still in love :)
40 ReplyWe met through a friend :)
We weren't a the same school, but we live about 10 miles from one another.
I met up with a friend and the friend we had in common. We had a good time, few laughs, took some photos, as you do when you're that age. He saw the photos and asked if he could meet me.
So we did! We met, along with the friend in common, and my friend. We met in town in the high street, we had a fun day, and all that stuff.
He was in a class with the friend in common and lent over and said "I can't stop thinking about her... she's so pretty, and amazing, and she's got the same interests... she's perfect"
We met up alone a couple of times, and 2 weeks later, we became a couple. I asked him out, and his reaction was "yes, of course I'll go out with you :)" and later admitted he wanted to ask me, but it would of taken a good few months to pluck up the nerve to! (He's very shy)20 Reply

At a high school dance, I went with my girlfriends and was there just to have a good time. His date for the night ditched (crazy parents) so he joined our group dancing because he knew one of the guys. I recognized him from a class, but didn't really know him much. We all had a great time dancing. The dance was almost over, and basically all my friends left early to beat the crowd :( . I was alone, and he was still there, so he asked me to dance with him still so I did. We had a blast, and then the last song was a slow song, and he asked to have a real dance with me, I was flattered, so I said yes. ^_^ It was the eve of my 18th birthday, and I had always wanted to dance with someone like that before, it was so lovely. We hung out a week later, and then went on our first date, and been together for a year and a half now. <3
There are some really cute stories here, aww! <320 ReplyIt was the end of the first week of school. I had just transferred to the university and so had he (from halfway across the country. So I know I got lucky). We met at a school sponsored foam party after being ditched by our roommates. I wear glasses and I was trying to wipe foam off of them so I could see. I don't remember what he said but he helped me get to the edge of the pit and kept people from running into me while I tried to clean my glasses. I failed. I suppose it might of helped that I was wearing a bikini swim suit top and board shorts. But we spent the rest of the night dancing and talking. Turned out we lived in the same university owned apartment complex. He walked me home. We talked till 6 am. And seven months later I'm in love with a great guy.

She has a lot of guy friends from her college (we go to different colleges). One night we all went out (me and my friends), her and her friends which we don't know (all guys).
We all got to talking and he played the guitar. I sat next to him and we ended up making up songs together, laughing and talking...
Then a few weeks later, we where going out. From then on, a relationship developed...
=)
----the strange thing is, I didn't even see him as a prospect, because he just didn't give off that vibe, but when I saw how much we have in common, I urged myself to rethink that decision... x)10 Reply
+1 yWell, I sort of met my current fiance twice. The first time I met him I was at school and I was with my ex who was a complete douche and my future fiance just looked at me and said "hi" but we really didn't talk because he hated my ex. The second time, we were at a party, and we got to talking because I was in the backyard by myself and he was telling me about how I could make out with him if I wanted to so that I could get my ex off my back (he was stalking me). Then, we went to the livingroom and made-out, and, eventually we left and hooked up. He asked me out that day but I said no because I wasn't sure exactly if he was a what type of guy he was but two weeks later, we ended up hanging out on a date and this time I said yes. that is how we came to be :D.
10 ReplyWe were set up by friends. I met the three of them at my friend's house after seeing Wicked with my fam. I remember when I met him, he seemed so shy, unsure, but I'm not sure what either of us thought. Then the four of us split up into cars to go bowling. That was quite the interesting car ride. Told me all about him, I didn't say too much...just because I wasn't feeling it yet...then he started making me laugh and sending me little texts throughout the night. He wouldn't ask me to be his girlfriend though until we had each met each others' parents...made me like him more at the time. Honestly, we weren't sure what either of us wanted for a few months after that...I mean, we stuck together, but it was during that time we really got to know each other, more like the growing from friends to more phase...just with kissing. Now, over a year and a half later, we're crazy about each other and can't imagine being apart. He's honestly the love of my life.

20 ReplyWell I met my boyfriend at my friend's Sweet 16. he actually came with his friend because he happened to not be working that night. I actually first met him while I was TA-ing Drama class with his friend (the same one from the party) and he came in to say hi and talk to his friend for a bit. we talked for a few minutes but I wasn't in the conversation. I saw him a few times in the halls after that but I kept forgetting his name so I only would say hi. at the party, I asked my friend what his name is and then I said, "hey. how's it going?" when he was alone at the snack table. we were together all night talking and dancing. towards the end of the night, I took his phone and put in my number. when I left, I told his friend to text me and we had texted nonstop for 2 weeks.

Anonymous(30-35)+1 yWe first met at school, he was one of those friends that ya know he's there but I hated him and so did my friends [in a friendly way?] we barely talked to each other. When the next grade in school you know in like August we started talking a lot and we started to get to know each other and he asked me my number in fb and we talked every day [August of last year]. I started to fall for him ans the next thing I knew [maybe in October] I fell in love with him and he was my crush...but everyone kept telling me that he liked me. So the day before yesterday was our 1 month anniversary [He asked me out on April 5]. We didn't want anyone to know but now everyone knows because my 'best friend' [stalkeerr -.-] told everyone. So now everyone in school knows.

+1 yI was 15, I spent the weekend at a friends house. We were really bored so my friend, Elisabeth, called one of her friends that lived within walking distance. We ended up walking to a guys house, when we got there there were like 10 guys outside talking, we sat down and said hi then I started to talk to one of the guys, he wasn't the most attractive of the guys but that didn't matter. The guy and me started to talk and we ended up texting the whole night. The next day I decided to go spend the night at the guys house, there was a big party that night so the guy and me had out first kiss which let to us dating by 9 P.M. I ended up loosing my virginity to him. It was a night I will never forget. That guy is still my boyfriend 2 years later as of June 6, 2011. I love him so much, maybe its being young or over emotional that makes me say that, but maybe, just maybe its real love. <3

00 ReplyWe both got to be part of an "exchange partner delegation" from our school, didn't even know he existed, and he didn't know I existed too.. There was a long bus trip that we sat next to each other (6 hours) he came to sit next to me because almost everyone fell asleep, and I guess he wanted to know me. On the flight back home he changed seats with someone so he could sit next to me. When we got back home we started meeting after school, he knew he wanted me, he started giving me all these hints like if their could ever be somethingg between us, after about 3 times of meeting after school we kissed and it then became official, we are still together (8 months already)...Cant even imagine us apart.

+1 yOnline.. hehe on a Christian site... We clicked instantly.. It was amazing..Now we talk on a daily basis I don't care who he heck criticizes ill tell why I in second I'm in Cal and he is in Pakistan.. But he calls me everyday we talk a lot and I don't care he is really sincere we talk a lot.. And I don't care what others think sure I'm careful but there's deep reasons I believe him all.. We pray about this everyday... And I pray and he prays...For each other his parents are strong prayers... They pray and I pray.. So I hope and pray all goes well.. I don't care how far we are now one day we well be in person ... It gives us time too get too know each other until we reunite..

Its nice to have a friend to talk to but you have to realize that you never met him in person and that there are 1000s miles between you guys. I am not a big fan of dating sites. There was one time when I met a girl and thought that she was perfect for me. However, we were so different in person that I left 10 minutes after we met.
Try to meet a more real man. I wish you luck - +1 y
Well I found out some stuff that uhhhh where really wrong about guy so we stopped talking lol..

Anonymous(36-45)+1 yMy husband and I met in elementary school. We had the same 6th grade teacher, and he was always annoying and asked to borrow my scissors or glue. I knew he liked star wars and dragons and he always wore star wars t shirts. I also knew the friends he hung out with. We re-met on Facebook and happened to be in the same state 12 years later. We met up and fell in love at that time. He was in the army and stationed in Italy so we got married and now live in Italy together.
30 ReplyWe met threw a friend of ours at a club(my boyfriend doesn't drink and tends to sit around waiting to drive people home) so when he was sitting there we ended up chatting it up and stuff and well we figured out I was looking for a place to live and he had some extra space so I started out as his room mate for like a week then he moved my stuff into his room and its been this wya for about 4 months now lol

+1 yI asked my good guy friend if he had any single friends. He gave me and his best friend each others numbers. The three of us hung out the weekend after and ever since that day we have talked on the phone everyday. Eventually he asked me on a double date a month later and ever since that night we have been together.
10 ReplyIt's how you meet a person basically, she just comes out of nowhere and bang! she hits you and you don't know from where the hit came hahaha. I don't know really, right now I'm single but the last girlfriend I had, I met her through a friend.

+1 ySo I was at school pretty early because I wanted to have a chance to read my book in peace, so obviously I was alone. And he got to school a few minutes later so it was just the two of us in school. We already knew each other from class but this is the first time we ever talked to each other. It turns out that we had a lot in common and that he liked me since the year before and I liked him too. We have currently been together for four months.(:
...I never did finish reading that book20 Reply
