How did you meet your love/ boyfriend or girlfriend?

Hello everyone, this is my first question here. I've known the forum but just joined now. By curiosity, how did you meet your girlfriend/boyfriend and how did you guys eventually get in a relationship with each other? How did you show to him/her that you really cared in a specially particular way and wished to go further with him-her? Just curious to hear of other people's stories with their special other, since I never had one yet. I think it's a really lovely moment in life when you have someone who truly cares for you/ you like and likes you back

We were out to breakfast with some mutual friends. My Chicago Cubs had just won the World Series. Some guy at the table was wearing a St. Louis Cardinals ball cap or something and I was just letting him have it (all in good fun) about how the Cubs were so much better than the Cardinals when she walked in. She and her family are Cardinals fans.

She friended me on Facebook, we got to talking and found we have similar beliefs and values. We started to develop mutual feelings after some time. I asked her out, a year and a half later we got engaged, and then six months later we got married.

Hi welcome, I met my boyfriend through Facebook essentially. I feel like me and him were both eyeing each other for a very long time and even when I was still in a relationship that was very toxic at the time I had my eyes on him. He used to comment on my posts a lot. The time came around when I finally got out of the toxic relationship and he sooner or later slid into my dms (unrelated to being interested in me) . Sooner or later he asked me to go out to the bar with him and his friends because he knew I was down from the break up I had. We met each other and our intentions were to only be friends. You can tell from the very beginning however that is was obvious we weren’t meant to be just friends and sooner or later we just ended up having sex, spent a couple more months just being casual and then one day he asked me out and then from there on out we have been dating since that night he asked me out

huh there is this girl I was talking to from college who has been keeping in touch with me for 3 weeks now asking if we can go out to dinner as just friends... why do you think that would be? We hadn't talked really in a couple years.

@t-8900 honestly that’s really depends. There’s no direct answer to that. Maybe she likes hanging out with you or is just possibly interested but doesn’t want to put direct expectations on the situation immediately

I know she was really hurt from her ex. He did the same thing to her that my ex did to me. Got engaged and then right behind our backs married someone else. Yeah... is that becoming common or something? It's so fucked up

@t-8900 ha my ex basically did that to me also. I guess it’s common because social media to be honest. It’s tucked up but honestly I’m happy as hell my ex did that because in the end he wasn’t the guy for me and I didn’t realize how much we didn’t have in common and my current boyfriend fits me and my lifestyle better and is more accepting of me. I think you should hang out with her though 😊 see where things go and just have fun. I think the biggest thing for me was in the beginning me and my boyfriend had no relationship expectations and it led us to having a ton of fun memories

@kyleelyn199723 well she's also the only woman to ever seen me cry. I had a messed up childhood and history with women. One day she asked if i would hang out with her on lunch break and she drove to chic-fil-a and asked if i wanted anything and I told her i didn't have any money. She said it was okay. We drove back to the college parking lot and she opened up the bag and shared with me and I just broke down crying because it was the nicest thing a girl had ever done for me.

@t-8900 no ! No! No! There’s women out there that ruin it for us girls that actually do care. I hate seeing my man cry but that doesn’t mean I hate him. It breaks my heart when I see him cry. It shatters me. I’ve seen him cry over his family situation as well and it broke me. Me and my man’s relationship is very very strong because we can go to each other for everything. He openly expresses how he feels all the time to me and I am happy as hell he does that. Whenever he cry’s I can’t not go over to him and hug him and kiss his tears away. Honestly though.

Completely work on yourself. I didn’t look my very best while meeting my boyfriend but we both made it a goal to lose the weight we needed to lose and we both look great now!

when I was your age 20, I went college, and on the third day of the very first classes, a group of friends, three girls approached me... that's how I first met three of my best friends to this day... we all got to know each other and one another very well, but one of them in particular started to feel a bit more interested in me, and so was I... so we became closer and closer within our circle of friends, and eventually we decided to become a thing... that's how it went
