Okay, here is some info, I have a Polish family that comes in here as customers and their adorable daughter has a major crush on me. She looks at me all smiles, blushes and then covers her mouth with her hand being all coy. Everyone knows she has the hots for me and her parents think its kinda cute and funny. So anyways, my girl (the one that I posted two questions about on here) comes in with my food and we hug and kiss, the 12 year old girl gets all pissed and starts crying, she won't admit why but everyone knows why. I want to tell her that she is just a kid, how the hell am I supposed to let her down without breaking her heart or being an ass about it?

This actually happened to me - I was being crushed on by a 13 year old. It's harmless, really. All they know at that age is that someone attractive and funny is being nice to them. There's nothing weird about it. At 13 you're just starting to realize that you have feelings and you're starting to explore being attracted to other people in a more serious way.

Just be nice to her but don't put yourself in a situation where her hormones may make things awkward. If she actually does come on to you, just tell her that you're in a commited relationship. Don't bring up that it's illegal or that she's "too young", even though both are true. Kids want nothing more than to be taken seriously - to her, her crush is a HUGE deal. Think back to when you were 13-15 and everything was SO important. Now magnify that by ten because her female hormones are controlling her emotions right now.

Just let her know that you take her seriously, that you think she's great and a good person, but you're totally comitted to your g/f, if she even brings it up. If not, just let her have her crush, it's not hurting anything.

a lot of my friends little brothers and their freinds have had crushes on me over the years. I just act nice and pleasant to them but keep a distance. I'm grown I don't fraternize with children like that. I'll speak to them and be nice but don't treat it like a big deal as if it were a woman your age you had to let down. she'll get over it, just be nice and treat her with the "aww that's cute". don't be alone with her or give her extra attention but be generally friendly. that's what I do. that way the kid gets to have their little crush and you can handle it without being awkward or unintentionally hurtful
