What does the heart on Instagram mean when you dm someone?

The guy I like hearts/likes my messages often and then replies to them too.

Here’s example How it looks when he ”likes” my message.

If he were just a friend, he would not be using the heart emoji so much. Guys that are friends with girls would be more direct and blunt. His approach is soft and mushy. Side note, he could be beta, soy boy or gay cause those “guys” do that stuff.

by the way in instagram the only reaction that u can give to texts are heart reaction... also in instagram heart symbols. Still he could easily decide not to like my messages. He one time “liked” my message” 3 times during one conversation.
