GIRLS HELP! Why does she avoid me?

Girls, do you ever try to avid the guys you like? I have been trying to get this girl to like me. We've known one another for a while. We weren't exactly "friends". We've been around one another a lot though. anyway...

It seems like the harder I try, the worse things get. Is it possible she likes me, or is she just trying to brush me off and being nice about it?

Example: She will never keep a text conversation going for very long. It's always short messages. And the same goes for things I post on Facebook. It didn't use to be like this at all. Please help me!

I think she might need some space! Do you conmtact her often? Sometimes girls find it really annoying when a guy is trying to make her like you :)

My advice would be to just leave her alone for a little while. Like a week I would say. Then we can see what happens!

If this is not the thing, then just simply say to her: "Please, tell me if I'm bothering you because I really don't want to do that!".

DON'T ask her out or something yet :)

shes naturally shy, but socially she has really come out of her shell. as far as I know she has only been in one relationship.

hmm...well, I'm really shy and when I'm around my crush it gets so much worse : / does she smile at you a lot? blush? fiddle with stuff? those are all things shy girls do when there crush is around. I'm not sure about the short answers via Facebook and texting though? you said, "it didn't used to be like this" - was she more talkative with you before? did you tell her you liked her and THEN she started acting this way?

well we get along great. yes she smiles a lot. I don't know abt the blushing or fiddling so much. and yes we use to talk a lot more than we do now. I have not told her I like her, but I've tried throwing out some signals. I sense that she at least has an idea...

smiling a lot is promising but It's really hard to say. You may have to tell her flat out you like her and see how she reacts.
