I’ve been texting this guy for a while and a few weeks ago I mentioned a band that I like. Yesterday he randomly sent me a picture of a poster with the band. Was this a way of saying that he thought of me? Is this a sign that he likes me?

Well it definitely means he was thinking of you, either as a friend or something more! It shows that he was listening, and made sure to remember something small about you. If that's the only sign you've seen i wouldn't go out and make a move, but if there's other things that tell you he might be into you, I would totally go for it!
