How often should the girl I'm interested in start a conversation?

I am in highschool and am a junior. She is a senior. We both play the same club sport but go to different schools. We have known each other for a bit but recently I had gotten to know her better through sports. I started snapping her a week ago and picked up on a conversation 2-3 nights ago. She is a flirty person in general but I can't tell if she is just being friendly. She always responds to my snaps generally matching the energy I put into it. I have heard when girls start the convo, its usually a good sign, but I have also heard that some girls won't start convos in the beginning. Any insight on what I should do? And are there any ways I can figure out if she's into me without directly asking?

She does stand next to me very often and gives me a solid amount of individual attention. I try to keep it low key cause it’s not necessarily the best place to flirt. I did end up asking to hang out and we are next weekend. I am totally an over thinker so thank you.
