NO one is insecure for no reason, but that's outside the scope of your question. Eye contact is the key. Guys are always looking at girls, and hoping for eye contact, which would indicate at least an interest. If a girl doesn't make eye contact or looks away, that is the end of it.
If contact is made, a smile from a girl does amazing things. Chances are he will walk over to you and make an effort to start some sort of conversation- even something as simple as, "It's sure hot out today." If you agree, this would be an opening for him to say something like, "Would you like to have a glass of iced tea?" If you say yes, the two of you will have to sit down somewhere to drink it. Once you're sitting you're talking, the sky is the limit (you can name your first child MTC).
The best way is to just smile at the guy. Ask him for help or for his thoughts on a subject. Give him positive strokes for something he has said or done. Guys aren't as likely as girls to appreciate compliments about their appearance, so don't focus on looks.
Don't view it as rejection if the guy doesn't respond. Just as you have your preferences, he has his, also. A preference isn't a judgment call on anything that might be different... it is just what we've discovered or believe works best for us. You're unlikely to catch a fish without bait, and you'll never catch all the fish in the sea.

Hey just try to initiate chats with a guy you like... first see the signals that a guy also likes you or not and if he also likes you then go and chat... i swear this is not a bad idea...
