Does my crush potentially like me?

I like my guy friend, but am too shy to show or admit it. I sometimes think he likes me back because of things he says, and he's always staring. Well he introduced us to a girl he is talking to and we all went out to lunch and she sat on his right & I on his left. Majority of the lunch he faced and interacted with me. Should I flirt with him before they become official? Or did I lose out on my chance with him?

Yes, flirt and indirectly give him open clues that you like him and tell him that if you were in the place of that girl you would have been very happy in a playful way. And see his reactions and proceed accordingly.

Flirting isn't the only way to get into relationship. You need to give him hints that you want to be with him and ask him who he would choose if he have both you and her as an option of getting as a girlfriend. This would do something good for you if he's into you. Or else, you may lose him to her

I love his humor! We have the same quirky sense of humor. I like how he is intentional when he listens, and is observant. He makes me feel seen and heard. I like how he is caring and compassionate. He respects boundaries. If someone says they do not like something, he remembers and honors that. I love his smile... it makes me melt.. We both share the same passions and interests. He's handsome.
