Does my crush like me or am I just imagining it?

We are both 22. I met her this semester at class, so we haven't known each other that long, but after a few months interacting with each other I completely fell in love with her. Im pretty shy when it comes to this type of stuff so I've never told anyone and I don't think she knows I like her. I should add we're good friends, so I may be mistaking some signals, I first started suspecting that she might like me when she started being playful and touchy with me, she would jokingly pull on my hair (its kind of long), tapping my head or poking my ribs, when someone showed me something on their phone while she was behind me she leaned forward so she could see the phone as well and she rested the front of her body on my back and shoulder (Also she doesn't seem to me to be a touchy person, she's kind of serious and often quiet with people she doesn't know that well). She also says what I think were kind of flirty comments, the strongest of them being one time when talking about movies I said "I like characters that are neutral" and she responded with "Well I am neutral" which if it was a joke then I can't figure what she meant by that. Am I just trying to convince myself that she likes me? Am I misreading something? or is there a chance?

Sometimes things can be hard to read. Have you guys went out like one on one before or has it been in a group setting? As a girl if she’s doing the touchy and trying to figure if you like her or not I’d say just throw yourself out there. You have nothing to lose and if she says I don’t see you like that, then that doesn’t mean something can’t develop in the future.

  Yep I get that. I get nervous too. I asked out a guy I liked and he didn’t really say yes nor did he say no, so I take that as a maybe at some point down in the future. But it seems like she likes you. Can’t hurt to try and ask her out. :) hopefully all works out for you! Best of luck!
