What does it mean to be charming? How to be charming?

I have been working on myself for relationship and I think women life a man to be "charming" but I don't think I know how to be charming let alone understand charming. Is it a matter of giving compliments?

Ultimately I am trying to understand why I am not attracting girls? Recently I got 4 girls number in one day and 2 days later none of them picks up my call or calls me so I stop calling them.

It is the ability to put others around you at ease, to be socially adept, to make the person you're talking to feel like the most important person in the world at that time, someone with good manners, someone that makes you feel happy and comfortable in their presence, endearing, witty, sincere, someone that gets pleasure from being a gentleman and expects nothing in return for it (that's what keeps up the charm), astuteness/intelligence.

So I'd say charm is all of those traits (and whatever other ones there could be) combined into one person, giving this vibe that the person is truly something special. So it's the charm (all traits combined) + uniqueness that adds to the appeal, kind of like a too good to be true story.

As for HOW to be charming, I think largely it's just a born trait. Kind of like a strength that the person has. Players, pickup artists, and people like that can practice charm and probably get away with it because it's believable. But there is a difference between being charming and being glib, and that is something that a player won't really ever grasp. So if it's not something that naturally flows from you, then I wouldn't focus much on it and instead would push to improve what strengths you do have.

When it this of charming I think of a guy with a great smile and romantic tendencies, someone who opens doors for a girl and takes her out to a romantic dinner, compliments are always good. Also, how well did you know these girls that you got numbers from? Maybe you should try hanging out as friends in a group first to see if there is any chemistry and that she's interested then ask if she'd like to hang out, just the two of you. Start a conversation by giving a compliment using something she's interested in, like, "I notice your wearing a 'Skillet' T-shirt, you must have great taste in music" or, "I hear your a good basketball player, maybe we could shoot some hoops sometime?" Whatever you do you'll eventually get a bite, and you'll find that the other girls and you just weren't met to be. Good luck!
