My style is teasing, complimenting, show appreciation/entusiams about what they say/do, asking personal questions, get physically closer and eventually get to do some physical touching, like first touch the arm or so. Maybe this is not for you, but show a genuine interest and take it in steps, and let the relations evolve.
Important tip is to feel where the other person is. How do they respond to you; do they tease/compliment you back, do they back away when you get closer, do they want to share the more personal details about themself.. if things get uncomfortable and too awkward, then go back to something safe and wait for them to show interest back.

Personally I would say find what is the issue. For me it was the fear of rejection or humiliating myself in public but I got over it by just doing it and taking a gummy before going out ( It is legal where I live) and talking to more people. I also spoke with people to get used to it too such as sales people in the mall or something.
