Christian Friends, tell me, I want to be with you all?

Hello to everybody! I've become interested in Christianity since moving to Poland. When I go to some churches, I feel really calm and good about myself. It feels like someone is holding me and telling me to stay put. This is how I truly feel. And I'd like to understand more about that. In Poland, though, I have no Christian friends. Who can provide me with details on that? When I visit the church, I feel ashamed. I have no idea who to speak with or what to say. Aid me! I'm grateful in advance. God's blessings on you

If you're going to church but somehow feel wrong, I have two suggestions.

One, reflect on your own in a peaceful non-religious setting (say a forest or a favourite nature spot) and try to determine what is making you feel uncomfortable. Spiritual places and communities can be very intoxicating if you're not familiar with them and it's easy to be swept up in the moment. Quiet reflection time and can you sus out if you're genuinely connected or just being influenced by others.

Two, speak to the pastor of the church. That's literally why they're there and they can help you process what you're feeling. However, know, their goal is to convert you and validate you in your new found faith, for better or worse. They may also wish the best for you, but it's important to know "the best" is Christianity by default for them - so you're not really getting a truly neutral perspective.

I don't know why I'm embarrassed to talk to the pastor of a church. I really liked your message. I will implement what you said.

It's okay to feel embarrassed. But it's worth also exploring that with him.
