So I’m on my work break and decided to go home for moms spaghetti. I was expecting a package so I opened the door for it but it ended up being  the sexiest dude who came to inspect the roof of the house instead . I look a hot mess 😭 He kept wanting to talk and i shut the door on him but our southern twangs matched and he kept smiling and I can hardly see over the water filling my eyes rn 😭🤣 I’m tempted to go glam myself up then make excuses to talk but i dont wanna make him fall off the roof 😂🙈 So i’ll let this one go! Normally you go to the grocery store lookin a mess and run into old classmates and hotties, but damn not at home too 😩 Wait, I actually wonder can he hear me and my sis talking about his hotness rn. LMAO I'm never looking like a hot mess because I put the same level of effort into my appearance every day. But, I always see hot girls when I least expect it and am so unprepared mentally I just lose my opportunities. It's like my brain is buffering while life is just humming along. Take today for instance. I walked into my building and saw this attractive girl a ways down the hall. Now, I'm in school so this girl was like 10-16 years younger than me and she held my gaze for a few seconds before I went into my lab. I needed to fill up my water bottle so I went to the refill station, which was right by her so as I passed her I snuck a look in while she was on her phone and she was pretty cute. So as I'm filling up my water bottle I'm thinking 'you should say something. You should compliment her.' And I'm like 'nah', but then like 'ya, that'd be smooth as fuck'. So I'm walking back towards her completely unsold on what I'm gonna do and I look at her, she looks at me with an adorable tight-lipped smile acknowledging my existence. So I'm like, 'fuck it', and as I walked past her, I say "I like your shoes," which I noticed while I was giving her the elevator gaze while approaching her. I didn't really care for her shoes, but it was a compliment and her shoes stood out a bit. She looked at me with this appreciative smile and said "Oh, thanks!". I just kept walking completely pleased with myself for taking that risk. Then after I got into the lab, I'm like 'why the fuck didn't you stay to chat her up? You may have been able to get her number!" But sadly, in the moment, my brain hadn't caught up quick enough to the situation to come to that conclusion. Another day, another missed opportunity.

This has happened to me occasionally. It's funny as hell, though, because I'm trying to get away from them but they keep coming closer. Like "WTF? How are you attracted to me right now? You're supposed to be repulsed. You're supposed to be running away. Go away already. No, I don't want to talk to you.". Lol.

A fair amount, although a couple of them made a pass at me when I looked like a homeless bum when I hadn't shaved and just got off work on my worn shoes, pants, carhartt hoodie and t-shirt.

As a guy, you should consider that he's come back to give you his card AGAIN while you're in your "hot mess" mode.

In general, guys don't care as much as you think. Your first impression has been made and he liked it so much he made a second pass to give you his card again. Just smile and ask him if he wants to buy you a coffee/iced tea/beverage of your choice.

I look like a hot mess every day I am a laborer after all. Messy hair, sweaty, dirty clothes, dust n dirt on my clothes old dirtied boots and calloused hands. Some days I look like a miner to when I gotta work in the underground rooms.

Yup that’s my luck a bombshell will walk into the store or building I’m in right after work or on lunch or break right when I look like a chinchilla who just got done with a dust bath 😑

I just go for clean. In itself that is a challenge as I am a messy eater. After the plates are cleared there is always more debris around my place setting than everybody else. I have figured out why.

I try not to leave the house looking a mess... sometimes I look like a mess after the gym and I hate going in public after that, so I try to go straight home to shower first
