What does it mean when a guy asks you do you workout?

I was chatting with a guy coworker and the coworker asked you like to workout right? I am surprised he said this and he said in earlier conversation I mentioned wanting to do a physical activity for a company event. He then told me about his workout routine. Was his comment simply making conversation or trying to flirt?

Prob. flirting although could be either, you would need 2 or 3 signs he is flirting before taking it too seriously just one sign like this could easily be misleading.

To provide more context he was telling me some personal things about himself and also we were talking about food (I'm a foodie) and history and he said he liked all the same things I liked. We also had a company event and I was sitting on the opposite side of my team and he told me I can sit with them but the only seat available was next to him and when I sat next to him we were practically touching. In every team meeting we've had he has decided to sit next to me and will help answer any questions I have.
