Yeah I would stop. Get it resized for a different finger if you're fond of it. I've done that with rings I bought on a whim. Take it to your local jewelry store and make sure they can resize it first. But yeah if it looks like a wedding band and I was sitting next to you at the bar and thought damn dude is hot and looked down at your hand I would keep my mouth shut. That'll happen.
