Why do girls always give me mean looks and turn out to like me?

The past three girls I've liked before I liked them I'd receive mean looks from them like I'd look at them and they'd look away almost rolling there eyes in a way or whatever, then it just turned into prolonged eye contact when walking past each other or seeing them look at me any other way which I would look away quickly because I liked them at this time and was scared, 2 of them I have confirmed did like me, the other one more than likely did I just haven't been able to confirm since she ended up getting with another dude
