I don't like the overly forward ways. It throws me off. It's like someone I have no hand history with opening up in Hold Em with a 20x BB raise when I'm holding a pair of sixes. Awkward! I can't come over the top to 3-bet there and stack off and I can't call with my sixes to that open-raise with no history whatsoever. I have to fold.

In high school I was terrified of flirting or dating cause intimate connections made me fear abuse or emotional pain. I also met one or two psychopaths with dangerous intentions, that made me uncomfortable and hesitant to speak. One guy gave me bad vibes at a restaurant and he almost assaulted me when I was in the process of leaving the conversation.

im not flirted with commonly - im not the type that gets flirted with and that's simple. I don't think im ugly, but i wouldn't go as far as to say pretty. so oen time, 2 and a half years ago, it's the summer of 2021. I have my first girlfriend. AWWWW so sweet. except for the part where she tried to kill herself and multiple people and we were only 11. Anyway, I'm at a trampoline park, and i strut in, feeling like lukewarm stuff. These two 9 year olds walk up to me and ask for my number. I'm mildly scared of boys. but it turns out, im violently afraid of getting flirted with for some reason, cause i got scared and burst into tears. i have not been flirted with since i dont think and I've been feeling like a cool kid.

The girlfriend of my friend from HS days and college, invited me up to his apartment while he as on a fishing trip with his dad. She was 'watching' his place for him. Her comment to me was:

"How come you have never made a pass at me?"

She was infamous as being a dick teaser, and I knew it. Not that I didn't want to make a pass, or know how, I just never knew what she might do.

At one point months earlier, I had made somewhat of an aggressive overture toward her and she immediately told my friend. I never trusted what she said after that.

With her, I never knew how to act/react.

Yes because I had three sisters. One was gay, one was a cheerleader, and one was raped while walking down the street and then beat by 2 different husband's. The raped one used to be vocal to me about how all men are all scum. The cheerleader showed me how she constantly used guys. The gay one well that's obvious. I had my share of girls but was taught wrong by my sisters. My father would always say to me "I don't know anything about dating nowadays." My mother barely spoke to me unless she was correcting my English.

I was waiting in a line and then this girl came up to me , stood really close and asked " is this ( name of the place ) ? ".. I said , yeah !.. she didn't go away and then asked again " so , this is really ( name of the place ) , huh? Yes. At least I think so. I was in the hot tub after a gym session and this older dude sat down beside me and introduced himself. Nothing like it had ever happened to me before, so my brain just shut down. It was awkward because he talked to me like I was in an interrogation, and I didn't want to keep talking but I'm a people pleaser so I didn't know how to walk away either. Eventually, after an awkward silence, I just snuck away and hid in the changrooms, lol.

I’m a very chatty bubbly person and it usually takes a lot to shake my feathers. Most of the time, I don’t even notice people are flirting, I just think they’re being friendly. With that in mind, I also don’t realize that my being friendly can also be misunderstood sometimes for flirting. I do make it a habit to snip it in the butt when I think someone may have misunderstood what my intentions were but I’m also very good with deading a conversation.
