One time I was in a really bad spot and I wanted to talk to a professional psychologist or psychiatrist. I googled around and found this massive building on the edge of town that had some of these services. The huge building was because of the insurance ring I guess. I went to the building and started wandering around trying to find the specific office. But it was big, and confusing. And I was really self conscious. Was the entire building directed to helping crazy people? Was I more crazy that I initially assumed?

I got into an elevator with and old woman and I think her grand daughter. I overheard some of their talk, the old woman was trying to reassure the young girl. Mind you, neither of them looked particularly healthy or appealing.

I asked them if I was in the right building, and looked around the floor. The floor of the tower once I got there, not the floor of the elevator. I got some answers "Nobody's here, try on Monday." and I went back down to the ground floor. I saw the duo again.

And seemingly out of nowhere the old woman says to me, "You're really handsome" and some other small talk.

And in that moment, the bizarre nature of life seemed inconsequential. Whether I was crazy or not, whether I was doomed to always carry around my issues with me the rest of my life and if other people could plainly see it, it was like whatever.

I intuited that the Grandma was trying to show her granddaughter that talking to boys really isn't that hard. She was just being "friendly" she didn't really think she was gonna seduce me.

So I just said back to her, "Hey, you're not so bad yourself", and gave her a grin.

She was still chuckling as I walked out of the mental health services insurance adjuster whatever the fuck that building was, and I was invigorated with a little levity to confront the dark days ahead.

What's considered "flirting" here? Saying "hi" or greeting a person you're attracted to could easily be construed as flirting, for example. Striking up a conversation of any sort could also be (mis) construed as flirting... I guess it depends on the person initiating and their intent.

I don’t flirt with people I don’t know and when I guy I don’t know approaches me, I never take him seriously cause he could be an abuser or psychopath. I might think he is good looking but that does not mean I will date him.

Well yes, many girls/women... However it's really weird... when ever I had mustered up the courage to feel like I have a chance with the girl... I would approach them after I noticed they kept staring and smiling at me... But I don't know what's wrong with me because after I notice they are definitely looking and staring at me and smiling... When I approach them and we both mutually flirt... they always make me feel like they were fucking with me... As they make me feel like a complete sleaze... and why would they ever be interested in me... so I refuse to approach any women... no matter what kind of looks they give me...😞

The only time cold approach flirting turns into something more.. e. g. sex... Is when I notice a woman... Usually all white afrwacfixe and who I think are out of my league; come over and approach me... After I had noticed them smiling at me and staring... and my face and usually also at my crotch area... Yeah it's strange... But I found if I make eye contact and smile back directly to them.. they will come over and start talking to me... and even though I'm nervous due to being rejected when I approach women like them... However when they suprisingly approach an unattractive guy like me.. it's hard to accept they are genuinely interested in me
