There was this really cute guy I met today at an engagement party. The thing was his friend is someone I’ve met a decade ago who we kind of remember each other in college. His friend was drunk and flirty with me, which I didn’t reciprocate. He’s also cute and a cool guy, but too young for me. Whereas the guy I did feel more attraction to… I just felt awkward because we were in a group and whenever I talk, everyone’s all full ears in and so when I am talking to him… I didn’t wanna make it obvious I am attracted to him… I would joke with him more like a friend way… and he randomly told me that he has the same kind of energy as his friend who really was more energetic and flirty with me. Not sure why he said it because he didn’t show me that in my opinion lol.
before I left, I asked if we could exchanged Instagram, which he said “no-YEAHHH” I was teasing that maybe he doesn’t really wanna exchange and it’s okay if he doesn’t. But he kept trying to play it off that his answer was actually that he does want to do it. He did requested me and I accepted him. But he hasn’t accept my request yet. Not sure if he’s even attracted to me…

Hmm, it kinda sounds like you may have friendzoned yourself a bit by treating him like just a friend when you met. But don't lose hope yet - the night was still early!
A few things that could help:
- Follow him back on IG asap so he knows you're interested. Post a cute photo or story so he checks you out.
- Send him a message like "It was cool meeting you!" to open up a convo and get to know him better. Flirt a little through texts.
- The next time you see him, be more playfully touchy like playfully shoving his arm when teasing him. Smile and hold eye contact longer.
- Compliment him on something unique or funny you noticed about him to show you found him attractive.
- Suggest a low-key hang like coffee so you have one-on-one time to connect away from the group
- Be a little vulnerable and share something personal about yourself. People are attracted to emotional intimacy.
Don't stress if it takes him a bit to warm up. You planted a seed, now give it time to grow! Play it cool but make subtle moves. Have fun getting to know each other and things may develop naturally from there. Fingers crossed for ya!
