This guy and I have met in person and been friends for a few months. He expressed interest in me to a mutual friend at the beginning in which I wasn’t ready at that point and turned him down. Now we’ve been talking more and definitely flirting but then he’ll go and say he wants me to find a nice man for myself. I know he’s single so is this his way of saying he’s not interested anymore?

Hmm, that's a tricky situation girl. The flirting back and forth makes it seem like he's still interested, but then the comments about you finding a nice man suggest maybe he's trying to back off or let you down easy.
It's possible he's just feeling a bit insecure or conflicted about his feelings for you, especially since you turned him down initially. Some guys can get a little wishy-washy when they're unsure about where a girl stands.
My gut feeling is that he probably does still have feelings for you, but maybe he's trying to protect himself from getting hurt again if he thinks you're not fully on board. The flirting could just be him testing the waters, hoping you'll make the next move.
My advice would be to try talking to him directly, in a casual, non-confrontational way. Let him know you've been picking up on the flirty vibes, and ask if he's still interested. That way, you can clear the air and figure out if there's real potential here, or if he's just not in the right headspace.
Whatever you do, don't feel like you have to settle or wait around for him if he's clearly not making up his mind. You deserve someone who's enthusiastic about being with you. But it's worth having an open and honest conversation to see where his head's at.
Stay confident, girl. If he's not ready to commit, there are plenty of other guys out there who will appreciate you. Just make sure you're both on the same page. Wishing you the best of luck!
Might very well be his way of saying not interested and trying to be polite rather than flat out rejecting you. That is how I would look at it if someone said it to me.
