Did you ever miss signs clear as day that someone likes you?

I was looking through some texts of me and a girl and she almost straight up told me she liked me and I just did nothing with it.

I didn’t think she liked me like that, though it was just a short while after she friendzoned me and even longer after that once again (don’t think I was really friendzoned then).

But did anyone ever miss super clear signs that someone was into them?

Yeah it happened with a co worker of mine after I was already married. She and I were both very flirty, but in my mind it stopped there and wasn't anything serious. Apparently she had other ideas.

The kicker was that my wife told me that she was into me but I dismissed that as being silly. Then one day she came to our apartment to make banana nut bread for me and that's when she made her move. I guess I was wrong about her liking me lmao

Yes, literally 100%! I’m always the friend who can tell when someone likes someone—like, ‘yup, he’s definitely into you’ or ‘nah, he’s just being friendly.’ But when it comes to me? Clueless. I couldn’t tell you a thing.

I've been told by girls that they had crushes on me in the past and apparently I'm pretty dense as I never had a clue. With guys like me girls have to be bold and not hold back if they're going to get anywhere, especially with the way some of todays women are cruel and quick to label you, I'm not gonna guess or chance a bad experience if I'm not sure of your intentions, it's just not worth it.

No, I don't miss the signs. I may ignore the signs. I may deflect the attempt to engage with me. But I see them all the time.

Why the lack of enthusiasm or engagement on my part?

Oddly enough, I'm 58 and I'm still surprised at the number of women say, 25-40, who approach me. And they can be really persistent over relatively long periods of time. For some reason I have it ingrained in my brain that shouldn't happen. But the age gap doesn't seem to bother them at all.

Likewise, married women seem to have no reservations about chatting me up, buying me drinks, or picking up my tab. They tend to get flirty and touchy really fast. Even in front of their married girlfriends. But they tend to be 35-50. So I'm not as surprised by the age gap.

If I have a weakness in my aloof personality. It's married women. I think it's due to the fact they tend to be putting themselves out there because they are in marriages where they feel unseen and unloved and/or their husbands are already cheating on them. They just want to feel seen, alive, appreciated, know they've still "got it".

Others are married to guys they just don't respect. Pushovers, nice guys, non-masculine men, or guys with no ambition/achievements in life, out of shape marshmallows. The women want to feel a man's passion. They want some guy to rip their clothes off and bend them over for once in their lives.

I can sympathize with that after my marriage experience. Also they tend to be more mature personalities who can hold a conversation on some deep topics. So we have some common ground. I've fucked/had affairs with a lot of married women. Never been disappointed. Even though I know it's gonna end relatively quickly.

I was in a cafe and in front of me there was two friends (females) The one that I liked turnder to me like 20 times as I was hanging with my coffee and instead of talking to her i just assumed that she must have been looking simeone else althiugh there was no one behind me. i regret it to this day

Yes, a few times, didn't think most were serious because when I started to return the attention, they seemed to cool off. Found out later that some of them thought I didn't go after them hard or fast enough
