Why would a girl I rejected try to set me up with her friend?

There was a girl I used to be somewhat into but ended up rejecting. Surprisingly she just said okay and continued being friendly toward me. Last week she brought one of her friends and winked at me while telling her friend about my good qualities (like she’s trying to set me up with her). I’m not sure what to make of it.

Some people are not bothered by rejection, mostly women. Being rejected does not mean that you lack values since rejections are usually based on looks and whether the person rejecting likes the way you look or not.

A rejection by one is another person's dream and that is probably how she sees the entire thing. She does not make a whole drama of it but somehow, you are disappointed she does not and I have the feeling that your ego took a beating.

As to why she is trying to set you up with her friend? It could be a prank or a joke they play together and perhaps the joke will be on you should you develop feelings for the friend and she will reject you.
