For you, which is more frightening: cold approaching the opposite sex or skydiving?

Many men are afraid to approach girls they don’t know, and women almost never do it; it’s very rare. I used to be scared too but in high school I had a social environment, so I could easily meet girls by finding common ground in classes, and since I was good looking and successful, it was easy. In fact, most of the time, they were the ones who came to talk to me.

When I went to university for engineering, the number of girls decreased a lot. I stayed without a girlfriend for a long time. I got tired of this situation, so one day I approached a random girl I liked in the library, found an excuse to start talking, gave her a compliment, and got her Instagram. While doing this, I was so stressed my hand was shaking when I gave her my phone. But I succeeded it felt like I had unlocked a new skill in flirting.

I’m curious can you cold approach? And are you comfortable doing it?

I think for most people, skydiving creates less stress than cold approaching.

Usually, people who get into relationships find their partners in the same library or environment, or at worst through Instagram, Tinder, Bumble, etc. Men who try cold approach and actually succeed are rare.

I've been skydiving before, and rejection doesn't bother me at all. Skydiving is statistically safer than driving. If you have been in a car, it is more brave than skydiving.

Worst thing that can happen approaching the opposite sex, unless they're a serial killer, is rejection. We all get rejected from time to time; you live with it and move on.

I know a number of men who have had thousands of uneventful jumps.
I also know another woman who cured her deafness from birth by free falling in skydive. Hurt like hell she said. But she can hear for the first time in her life.

Neither frightens me bc I do not do either. If I had to do one of them I guess skydiving assuming there is an instructor or something with me so it will prob be safe. My reason is that approaching a guy could hurt my reputation long term and sky diving if anything would help my reputation so as long as I don’t actually get. hurt that is the wiser choice. I am in a relationship but that would be my answer pretending I was single.

Yet many people who love to travel have tried extreme sports like bungee jumping, ziplining, or skydiving at least once.

Yes, it looks easy, but most people can never "cold approach" bc of the fear of embarrassing themselves.

For me skydiving was way easier than cold approaching used to be. At least when you jump out of a plane, gravity takes over and there’s no second-guessing. With women, your mind can keep you stuck on the edge forever.

What flipped it for me was when I learned that attraction isn’t random, but it’s basically a “mating dance” that humans naturally go through. Once I understood the phases and practiced them, the anxiety disappeared because I knew exactly what came next.

That’s how I went from being the guy who froze in front of strangers… to being able to meet a girl in a café or on the street and within an hour be in a romantic or sexual interaction. No apps, no social circle, no luck, just running the process. The crazy part? After a while it feels as natural as riding a bike.
