If this person turns you down, then you owe it to yourself to move on and have a minimum of dignity and not go begging.

I personally would not go to any place where I am likely going to meet him, whether it is his workplace, a bar, a gym or any other place.

There are plenty of other people around that are probably happy to be with you. Why lower yourself to the level of someone that does not see your qualities and has turned you down.

A crush is a one-sided affair most of the time and is seldom reciprocated.
