Why does this guy start conversations but act annoyed when I respond?

There is a guy who is a friend of one of my friends and he will always say something to me then get annoyed or uncomfortable when I respond back

Case #1

Me: *walks into bar*
Him: “[My name]” *motions her to sit beside me*
Him: Are you going to sing? 😁
Me: No! I’m tone deaf. 😅
Me: So, how have you been?
Him: Fine. 😐
Me: How’s the new job!
Him: Great. 🤨

Case#2

(I was invited to his apartment for a get together)

Him: *answers door* 😁
Me: Hi 😁
Me: Thanks for the invite! I didn’t realize you all lived down the street from me.
Him: 😒 *looks uncomfortable*

Case #3

Me: *talking to the person next to him* Yeah, but it’s hard to get in invitation into that organization.
Him: It’s not. All you need is a sponsor who is an active member.
Me: How do I go about getting a sponsor? Him: 🤨 *looksuncomfortable*

I told you when you posted this on your blue account that if you don’t wanna talk then you should be setting that boundary. You are butting into conversations, along with asking her questions, on top of initiating communication by summoning her to sit next to you and asking if she’s gonna sing. I don't know why you’re even being social when you’ve got this chip on your shoulder about being bothered. Just isolate or something.

He seems to be unable or uninterested in carrying on a real conversation. I suggest you stop talking to him, or at least don't ask him questions as they seem to be what upsets him.
