I saw an opportunity today and approached a girl, i thought I had to try and fail rather than living in regret. Though I was super nervous, is it still respected that a guy can do that? how would a girl view it, be honest.

I think the best answer lies in how that situation played out. Like if you got her number or whatever then she, specifically, was cool with you approaching, and that’s what matters most.
didn't get the number.
Gotcha. Well, you’ve got to keep in mind that her rejection could be for a number of reasons outside of whether or not respects you. Like personally, when I’ve declined giving out my number, respecting the guy wasn’t even on my radar. It would be for other reasons, like timing, already talking to another guy, not finding him attractive, etc.
Of course. At least he made an effort. Some men can't even do that.
Why would she not respect him…? Are women actually like that? For me; It would be cute, as long as he is respectful toward me. What if I get nervous because he is too nervous, hilarious!
Yes of course.
appreciate it, should I like try to talk to her as a friend if I see her again?
i will say yes of course again. Always choose talking rather than not talking
Sure.
