Is modern flirting harder because I’m older—or because dating has changed?

The last time I really put myself out there, I was 27. Did I miss something? This feels a lot harder now. I can't tell if it's because I'm older or because times are changing but I feel like when I try to get to know a girl treat her like a friend and then ask for her number, she suddenly acts like she's been alienated, when Im kinda just jokingly flirting or trying to give her space because she's making me feel awkward, she gets almost mad and then I barely see her again and if I'm not interested at all... I mean I'm used to that they usually try to start a whole potato hate club which usually works in my favor anyway.

I don't think I suddenly became ugly. Woman look at me wherever I go. This one girl on the subway was pretty cute and she practically buried her face in my chest. But I'm not gonna lie even I'm kinda afraid of the little fuckers now.

I can't tell how much of it is me or everyone else... Maybe I need a new haircut. Lol jk but I'm curious what other people who are my age or older think...

A lot of people are married now and raising kids. Eventually, you'll encounter divorced people/single parents. Then my age, its single divorced women with kids that have moved out.

When you were younger you were flirting with women your age. The younger women got older and changed, and they will not respond to you. So continue to flirt with younger women.
