Girls: Would you ever have a cuddle buddy?

Question

Say you didn't have a boyfriend, but you needed some non-sexual physical affection. Would you consider having a guy in your life, maybe a friend, who you simply cuddled with every now and then?

That sounds kind of appealing, but I wouldn't do that.  If I don't  have a boyfriend, I'm not so lonely that I have to get a cuddle buddy.  I have no issues with being single & can be happy on my own.  Although, I do prefer being in a relationship vs. being single, but I'm fine being single too.

I don't think I could have a cuddle buddy.If I would allow this person to cuddle with me,he would of course have to be attractive,nice and possess other awesome qualities,which would only mean I would end up developing feelings beyond cuddling,which would likely result in-drama.

Cuddle buddies are amazing. It's great to get non-sexual affection from people. And for some reason, being in the arms of a guy, makes me feel good. And getting rid of all the sexual bullsh*t, makes it that much better :)

It's only OK if both of them realize it's never going to go anywhere beyond 'cuddle buddy' status with either of them. Otherwise it's not fair. it's taking advantage of someone who obviously likes you in an almost cruel way imho.

There was a girl that I was close with in college that I was her cuddle buddy whenever we watched movies. She was sweet, but neither one of us wanted more than that and were fine with just curling up together on the couch.

I've had one and still do on occasion when we happen to be at the same party or whatever. We've known each other our whole lives and it's nice that if either one of us  needs a hug or is just having a bad night we can count on the other for a cuddle. Nothing sexual has ever happen between us. Wait- I think we kissed once on a dare in grade five lol, but not since then...

I would love that, but I'd probably eventually fall for him... Which would suck unless he was on the same page as me. I mean, I wouldn't constantly cuddle with someone I wasn't attracted to in some way, shape, or form. :X

Yes I have one. He used to be my boyfriend, we are not together anymore. He says I'm his best friend and the joy of his life. He was the one who wanted us to be apart due to our "age and maturity difference" (3 yrs). I cannot really say I don't miss the sexual stuff. But I just can't let cuddling with him go.  But I do try to keep it to a minimum, because yeah it hurts sometimes.

of course :) I have one at the moment. he's the kind of person I would never go out with in a million years because I know what he's like, but its nice to snuggle from time to time and if anything sexual happens...bonus ;)

I couldn't have a cuddle buddy if I had a boyfriend, because I would always wish it was him and it wouldn't be fair for my 'buddy' and boyfriend. Being single well that wouldn't matter of course anytime. (: haha

Oh yeah as long as he was okay with it being non-sexual and enjoyed the cuddling as well and didn't take it as wanting to be more than friends... yes. I'd love that in that case! Sounds nice :)

I do have a cuddle buddy, we live in the same dorm and cuddle a few times a week between classes just to relieve stress. I accidentally started liking him but we set straight that he's not into me as more than a friend but we can still keep cuddling. I'm completely over it and the cuddling is more fun now that I don't have any pressure to impress him or anything.
