"Pat on the back" hug?

So I heard somewhere that if you've been put in the friendzone you can tell because when you hug they'll pat you on the back, whereas if they like you more than a friend they won't.

How accurate do you think this is? Because it's got me all paranoid what kind of hugs I give out to friends now lol

everyone is different, and there is no set way to give a hug. Well I can think of a couple general rules having to do with man hugs, but as far as cross-sex friend hugs I don't know. Girls are generally more open to giving longer hugs depending on how close they are with someone. But I think this is a trivial detail in the overall scheme. Just decide how you want to give hugs then go with it.
