When a guy stares into your eyes with a serious face, what does it mean?

This really cute guy and I are both 18. And in the past he would either smile genuinely when our eyes met or wink at me. but this past weekend he would stare at me hard with no expression on his face like if he walked by or if we saw each other across the room. But what makes me really confused is that even when he was dancing with another girl and I was dancing with a friend (who's a girl) he would still stare at me even when I caught him looking at me. I'm confused, what does it mean?

He's thinking... Probably thinking about asking you out... Probably looking for a sign from you that it's okay to explore that arena with you.

Just smile whenever he looks at you. If he stares at you one more time (let's say this week, for example), smile, go over to him, ask if has a sec, and ask him (when you're alone) how he's doing, that you've noticed something about him is a little different. DON'T ask "Dude, why are you always staring" -- he doesn't realize he's doing it till he catches himself, and if you bring it up he'll be shy, possibly blush to the tips of his ears (which the gal finds adorable but the guy hates).
