Do girls talk about their crushes with other girls?

For example, I know this girl has a crush on me at college but I'm already taken. We are both lab partners and she gets red and shy around me.

Anyway, I've seen her friends around campus but they don't pay attention to anyone. But lately, they've been starting to look in the way of my direction lol, and this gets me wondering. What do they talk about?

Is this like the halo effect? you know girl one has a major crush on a guy and girl one shares and over exaggerates her feelings with her friends. now girl 2, girl 3 and so on starts feeling the same way?

Yes girls talk to their friends about crushes. They usually talk about how you acted towards her to see if you like her or why you don't like her etc. Like I'll go into detail of how many times my crush looked at me or if he tried to talk to me what he said etc and then complain about how boys are frustrating etc.

Its comfortable and you can learn who they like and you can talk about how awesome the person it is that you like

Yes we always do I don't know why but we just do
