Is it a compliment for a girl to be called 'nice' by a guy?

I know guys are usually pretty straight forward, but when they say a girl is really nice, do they really mean that, or is it because they can't find something specific to compliment?

What is your personal opinion on the word 'nice'?

That's actually being very straight forward.

Not all guys are going to be obsessing over specific things to compliment a girl about. And I have to strongly disagree with the guys who are saying otherwise!

See, some guys like to show off when they're complimenting a girl, and other guys who are more modest like to keep it simple and genuine.

If a guys says "she seems nice" that also implicitly means at the very least that he thinks that she's pretty. No guy would ever say that unless he thinks that she's really pretty. If he thought she just looked average, he'd say, "she's okay" instead.

"Nice" is such a bland word; I would be more specific when speaking of a lady. BUT, when a lady says that a guy is "nice", that is nothing but a gentle putdown: "You're a nice guy but I'd rather have sex with bad boys".

Exactly. "Nice" is really about the most offensive thing a girl can call a guy... they just don't get how hurtful that is

I think if nice is the only thing a guy says about you, then he must not find you very attractive but your personality is decent. Or you're boring

depends on how its said...

if you ask how you look in a dress and they say... NICE they like you

if they say you look nice without asking ... they like you

if they describe you as nice... they like your personality
