Do you consider “you are such a nice guy or girl” from the person you are interested in a compliment?

I cringe when a woman says that to me. 9 out of 10 times it’s a huge red flag that:

- She’s comfortable friendzoning me and/or
- She will likely ask for a bunch of one way favors and/or
- She finds me boring but “nice” and she thinks it’s just nice to say that.

However if she makes a comment about me being good looking or talented/cool about something else BEFORE saying the nice guy “compliment” then it’s not so bad. Also if I have already gotten sexual with her then it’s actually a genuine compliment.

Sadly that’s true more often than not. Especially if they don’t compliment you with anything beyond that.

But I think women do this crap to guys more than vice versa. Not to say it doesn’t happen to women because it does. But women have more wiggle room with this crap.

Sometimes it is. For guys most of the time it isn’t unless it’s said with the right context.
