Why do girls hold hands/dance with each other??

Why do girls hold hands with each other and dance/grind on each other? I went to a party last night and saw girls walking and holding hands each other.

Its more comfortable than having a strange guy come up and dance on me.

I'll do that if there is no guy around that I want to dance with, its my way of saying to other guys that I don't want to dance with anyone else.

It's kinda why I don't like going to clubs, some guys just come up and dance on me without even asking.

Well, it could be that they're dating or in a relationship with each other. If not, it's just fun to dance with your girlfriends. Now I don't hold their hand (unless we walk behind each other in a crowded place) or grind with them. But just dancing is fun :)

Idk, I can't stand it when my friends try to dance with me like that. It's annoying and tends to draw negative attention form creepers

They only do it when there are no men in the room worth looking at. Personally, I've never seen it happen.

My best friend always hook arms onto me or hold my hand. We're just that close to each other, I'm not bothered it at all.

i hold my friends hands if I'm scared, upset, having a panic attack or trying to give her a message I want nobody else to know, its just girls, were just like that :P

I personally sometimes grab my mates hand when they are boring etc and I am trying to get them to move! but it's only for a few minutes until they look more into it/awake! I hate when people do it all the time, its clingy and irritating!
