Why would you ignore your crush?

i know some ignore their crush ! why would that be ?! how can you tell if they like you or just not into you and don't want to give you a wrong impression hence the ignoring?!

would being protective, asking if going places with the group, short answers to questions, walking by you, not looking at you but sometimes getting involved in the convo from across the room for a brief second, fall under the "ignoring your crush" category or the "not into you" ignore ?!

If she's ignoring me cause she likes me what should I do if she always gives short answers or rarely starts convo. should I just tell her I like her or will that freak her out ?! Thanks

Women ignore their crushes because they want the guys to chase for them. Also, about short answers, it's because you asked a question and you don't prolong the conversation.

Also, about starting conversation, it's the guys' jobs.

Yes, you can tell the girl you like her. Nothing wrong's with that.

Only reason why someone would ignore is to get rid of them & they don't have the guts to tell them. Ignoring someone you supposedly like is just nuts.

She's shy maybe? You could try asking her more questions to keep the convo going, see if it gets better. Or just tell her you like her? It sounds like you don't have much of a relationship to lose at the moment, so why not just tell her? Not like it can get more awkward.

when a girl walks past you and ignores you, she maybe just doesn't want you to know that she has feelings for you (I do that)
but when she ignores you, or only gives you short answers, when you talk to her, she's not into you.

Very true. I'm very shy and happen to have a crush on this guy at work, but I'm too shy to look at him. There's been times if he talks to me or helps me with something I'll say thanks, but nothing more.

But if you know someone is ignoring you on purpose to get your attention then you know they have maturity problems. The best thing to do is completely switch to a new person. Unless you enjoy being ignored, that’s on you. If they’re trying to slowly get your attention that’s different.
