When talking to an attractive girl, can nerves make a guy's voice go higher?

So at the hospital at which I volunteer for over 6 months now, there is a really hot guy who works at the coffee shop right next to the clinic and it seems like he's into me. I always see him looking at me, and the other day when I was buying some coffee and he was there, his voice sounded pretty high for what I'd imagine.

is there any chance that if a guy is nervous, could that make his voice go a little higher than usual?

well think of it this way, if you're with your boyfriend and he gets a call from his mom he prob speaks in a more soft tone of voice to her, or the way people speak to little kids, they don't try to use a deep scary voice, sometimes if you're talking to a girl you might use a "nicer" tone of voice and it might be higher.

It's possible but I doubt it's him being nervous that causing him to speak in a higher tone of voice, he's prob just trying to speak "nicely" to you.

I think it's funny, because I've heard guys I've been around get a call from mama and they sound like kids again :p

lol wow, good point! never thought that may be the reason why he would be talking in a higher pitch, usually you hear that guys will sound lower than in reality in front of girls to come off more macho.

Girl's mentality: "OMG HES SUCH A MAN"

Gets cheated on..."OMG why do I only attract the a**holes"

Yeah. Stammering, fast talking, and high pitch are all generally signs of nervousness which could be brought on from talking to a crush.

yes. It depends on the boy, but the one that I like, his voice always goes softer and a bit higher pitched (to note, he has quite a deep voice!) however some guys try to sound more macho. I'd say he likes you if his voice is getting higher. Does he look at you a lot too? There's another sign he's into you if does :) good luck!

yea, he does! it feels like multiple times an hour as he's walking by he'll look at me, and we both finish our shift at the same time and walk the same way to the bus so maybe there's potential for something more! thanks :)

Hahaha I don't know, maybe, but If you guys DO do that, stop it. Deep voice is far more sexy, high pitch voices are not appealing, charming or anything nice! xD lol

It's not about being nervous or anything of the sort but when you're talking to a girl we make our voice a little more high pitched to be nice, because usually our voice sounds rough. Like for me if I'm mad or just woke up IDC about being nice to anyone so that's when my voice is the deepest but throughout the day even talking to random strangers it gets higher. Hmm I don't know maybe its just something I got used to doing.

If he was kinda nervous then yes. I believe so. I've involuntarily done it, but as I get comfortable with the situation, I'd deepen my voice. But if he was confident from the getgo, then he'd try to make it deeper.
